Okay I'm veerrrrrry new to the whole rap world, but why is everyone trying to parse this Beats 1 interview when Nicki so obviously went hard in on Nicki on the lyrics to 'Chun-Li." It seems like way more compelling evidence, right? She basically says that any girl could have featured on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" and she even does the Cardi tongue roll thing before the second verse to let you know she's gonna go in. How many of them coulda did it with finesse? Now everybody like, "She really is the best." You play checkers, couldn't beat me playin' chess Now I'm about to turn around and beat my chest Nicki was doing her signature “purr”. Not “Okurr”. Nicki has been doing that for 10 years now. Gotta stretch before you reach lol. I think she's referring to her career, like who else can do it like her? Exactly. Bruno and Cardi don’t own the rights to the word finesse lol. |

She def listened to fans and brought back OLD (mixtape) Nicki with a modern twist.
Going to #1 is gonna be hard next week because even though a lot of the online barbz are focusing on giving the push to “Chun”, the GP is still going to be splitting sales and I think it’s actually the less commercial/accessible of the two.
Realistically they should focus on streaming more since it’s dark red on iTunes now (which is expected) but if I can recall, both songs made it to TTH on Spotify hella fast so maybe her streams can make up the difference.
It seems like the BT video is coming first anyway though, so I think they’re even planning to to push that more.

I think they probably thought Barbie Tingz would be the one the general public would enjoy while giving Chun-Li to the fans. But from what I’m seeing, the public is enjoying both but with Chun Li winning the race. They need to drop a video for it.

This is that shit with Nicki that makes people not like her. Yesterday you were crying crocodile tears playing victim and acting like you were soooo hurt. Today you're posted up with this man like yall are besties. The truth is she never had an issue with Quavo to begin with. But he got lumped into the narrative of that sob story she sold to promote her singles.
Quavo shouldn't have to bring Nicki together with anyone. She is 10 years older than Cardi. A whole grown ass woman. She had months to resolve any issue she had.
