Well, I'll say this: if Nicki truly has no hard feelings towards Cardi, she could reach out and extend an olive branch. Cardi may be street but she has proven to be humble and appreciative of her rap peers. The problem with Nicki is that she takes this Queen thing a little too literally. Cardi ain't about to bow down and kiss someone's hand. It was nice how Nicki talked about bowing to Lauryn though. It shows she can show deference when she wants to. I was sooo @ Lil' Wayne's phone call though. "Is that how you really talk? I wish I knew how to do that s**t!" regarding Zane's accent. High AF! Best part of interview, tbh. He is such a creep, creeping on Nicki while she is sleeping. She is delusional if she thinks Wayne is the best rapper who ever lived. She never worked with BIG or 2Pac but she has worked with Eminem.

I will say, I really enjoyed her interview with Zane. He's an excellent interviewer. I love how he kept preparing her for the worst by asking, "Are you comfortable? Getting more relaxed?" before he went in. Also, she had some HITS! I love how they started with my favorite Beez In The Trap and did Monster, which is still my favorite verse from her. Even Moment 4 Life, which always bored me, got some love, because hey, it was a hit!

Btw, I might love Chun Li now. The beat to Barbie Tings is OK in parts but I don't really like the song. Parts of it are decent, though and I don't think she has lost the plot completely, which is the good news.

Damn...never seen Onika like this. I will say that I think Nicki is more hurt about Migos (especially Quavo) who she was friends with not defending her and then fueling the fire in interviews of Nicki being a hater (which basically set the public up to slaughter her further) and not wanting to shoot with Cardi when that wasn't true.

Much ado about nothing. This beef is some high school slambook sh*t. These are grown folks getting pissed about insignificant technicalities, which makes it even sadder. This could all be cleared up in like two minutes in a FB group message. Her even acknowledging this isn't a good look because it's so petty.

Woke up and re-listened and DAMN Chun Li bumps HARD for me. Had it bumping in the gym and it was dope!

The more and more I listen to the tracks, the more I feel like these are more mixtape-like tracks and won't end up on the album. I think she be testing the waters.

She was automatically pit against Cardi once Bodak Yellow took off. Then, when MS happened, there was all that talk of how they even ended up on the same track(and how they were supposedly sending shots, another social media bang. When the video came out, once again, social media made a fuss or a theory on why she didn't film with Cardi. It was just a trainwreck from the start. Nicki did explain a while back how the track was created, but she was painted to be a hater.

Now, with this portion of the interview, she still is painted out to be a hater, while still praising Cardi. Quavo is still trash for not clearing it up like he could've, and that text really just showed who he is(which we all knew). It also sounded like she had a cold.

Anyway, this "thing" can be diffused with a simple behind the scene conversation. All I'm saying is that while she generally likes Cardi, Nicki was doomed from the start. I still want to see the whole interview as a whole, but I know this portion was gonna stir s**t. At this point, I'm ready for what else is coming from this album, especially since she started in Decemeber.

Chun-Li is still #1 , and Barbie Tingz is #2 on iTunes.

I think Black Tingz is actually #1 no? It has two versions Ion top 10 so combined it may actually be more.

I’m fully expecting that to be the bigger chart hit of the two, it’s exactly what people love and WANTED from her. My only gripe is that they released on a Thursday which messes up its first actual week. Also maybe releasing the songs a week apart would have allowed maximum chart potential and focus on either, rather than splitting sales between the two.

Can someone pls fill me in on the drama? I've listened to her interview multiple times and read some articles on the backstory and still don't understand where (and why) this mess originated from. From my understanding, Nicki VS Cardi started (in the media at least) when Bodak Yellow hit #1. Then there was that Migos song where Nicki changed her verse for reasons I still do not understand and then in the video, she shot her scenes separately from Cardi which further fed the supposed 'feud' rumors. I don't get the part where Migos and/or Cardi threw her under the bus though. From what I get, is that they didn't go into detail as to why Nicki couldn't show up to the set Cardi shot her scenes on instead of clearing the air by saying that there was a scheduling conflict. Am I correct? Plus, if Nicki is supporting Cardi, then who is she referring to when she says How many of them coulda did it with finesse? Now everybody like, "She really is the best." etc on the songs?

Long story short: Nicki said Cardi has never shown her love until one interview last week and that it hurt her feelings when there were rumors about shadiness regarding the MSport sonng/video and how they basically made her look like the bad guy by not clearing the air. Which is not exactly true. They all said it was scheduling conflicts, but the media/stans made it worse by continuing to press the issue and she felt they should have done more.

Basically just a lot of miscommunication/assumptions and it seems like the main issue in the whole situation was Quavo.

The direct tweet after the interview just added more gasoline to the fire.

No, none of them cleared the air. Migos went on TBC and were asked point blank why Nicki didn’t shoot with Cardi and they all acted shady and insinuated there was an issue with them two. Then Angela stepped in and sarcastically said “Scheduling conflicts“ and Quavo said “Yeah we’ll go with that”. Which again, fueled the narrative that Nicki is the bad guy (no pun) and has a problem with Cardi. They were asked in 3 separate interviews in the span of a week about why Nicki didn’t shoot her scenes with Cardi and none of them told the truth. They all fueled the Nicki vs Cardi narrative for their own benefit.

Nicki is whining but at the same time, if someone is supposed to have your back and that person doesn't, that person fucked up. Quavo could have just said, emphatically: "Nicki has no problem with Cardi. She wanted her on the song and wasn't physically able to shoot scenes with Cardi" but he didn't.
