Elliot and his wife, Danyel Smith, basically ran the African-American journalist market for a minute when he was the editor-in-chief at XXL Magazine, and she the main editor at Billboard along with other famous publications including Ebony, Time, and Rolling Stone. If you see a picture of her you would recognize her because she's always on music related issues on TV as a commentator. He started and runs RapRadar currently.
