I've heard this song pop up a few times on the radio, and it's pretty good. It has good vocals and it's really addicting. I found myself humming it @ school.

I heard this on KTU today. I really liked it.
It does have some aspects of house, which usually turns me off. What I did like about it though is it sounded like 90's dance, mixed with current dance, and even some hip-hop vibes thrown in. In fact, the verses reminded me of a certain R&B song and I can't figure out which. The vocals are pretty good, and it's catchy. If Pop radio was open to dance at all right now, this is the type of song that would do decently there.

I heard this song months ago and hated it.

I have now figured out that the song the verses remind me of is "Trippin'" by Total. The melody is identical. I think that's why I liked it so much at first, because after DLing Stonebridge it doesn't sound half as good as it did on the radio, unless maybe I DLed a different version.

I think it sounds like Mary J. Blige's "Never Been". Which album was that on? I wonder if I have it... Anyway, I just listened to "Trippin'" now and while otherwise the songs sound nothing alike, pay attention to the melody of the verses of both songs. It almost sounds like Total (or I guess Missy) could sue...

I sure hope Missy has a credit in "Put 'Em High" because if not she's got lawsuit opportunity in her hands.

Energy 92.7 just added it a couple weeks ago. I like the JJ Flores Mix too. I heard a white label of it the other day. It had a sample looped from Missy Elliot's rap on "Make It Hot" by Nicole. The line looped and sampled was "I'm high as a bird."
If I can buy it or download it, I'll post it here.
And I too think it sounds like the Total and Mary J Blige songs.

All the covering and "sounds like this" aside, a rare thing happened, I've been listening to a dance song for more than 3 weeks and I still like it. Look for it to be my #1 this week on my personal chart.

I'm surprised to learn this is from the early part of this year - WTBT has it in high rotation right now. I like it.[/font]

One of my my favorite dance songs of the year. KTU had this on high and medium rotation since like late April all the way until August.

"Put 'Em High" has performed amazingly well for Energy San Fran. It was added to their playlist on the first of February this year, and it has received nearly 1700 spins to date - an impressive number for any song at any format. A sleeper hit that went on to spend many, many weeks in heavy rotation, it's guaranteed to be the #1 song on the station for the entire year.

This still gets about 3 spins per week at KTU. It was added on January 18th. Definitely a top 10 hit of the year.

^ I know, I replied to this thread at the end of February. I was just saying how I was wondering why a new topic for it had resurfaced when the song was so old, but it's the same topic
