Now any comments on this? If there's one thread on Pulse that needs less comments, its this one.

Please fucking leave. You suck. In order for there to be a definitive list of one-hit wonders, there needs to be a MEASURABLE definition. And that definition is gonna seem arbitrary. Get the fuck over it.

Put G-Eazy back on this list now. Features don't count even if they do count by Wikipedia's standards.
On top of that, remove Halsey from the dropout list and add her to the newcomers list. Her song with Bieber is just a featured spot and either way isn't really a hit. Unless you count New Americana as a hit (hey @walker9 is better at defining hits then I am so let him decide) then don't add her to any list whatsoever.
Add Remy Ma to the list. Sure, she had a #1 hit with "Lean Back", but she wasn't credited. If you're adding Zayn and Camila Cabello to this list (solo artists without their bands/groups), then Remy Ma should be listed as well. Fun isn't a one hit wonder, but Nate Ruess is listed as one on the Wikipedia page (for "Just Give Me A Reason"). Tyga used to be on the one hit wonder page for his feature on Chris Brown's "Deuces" because he wasn't credited in Bedrock (albeit he was removed from the page when he scored another Top 40 hit with Rack City).

You guys are all wrong. Regardless of whether you are talking about amusiceviewers definition or something else. The old songs you are discussing don't fit the 2016 theme in the thread title. I thought this thread was about tagging ALL new artists with their first single released in 2016 as one hit wonders. Something we also seem to be drifting away from.
Inconsistent discussion. Inconsistent definitiions. Inconsistent topic. But hey, this is a Pulse one hit wonder thread. Make it up as we go I suppose.

Another thing about Garth Brooks: During his peak in the 90s he had hit after hit at country radio but refused to release singles since that would cut into album sales. Hot 100 chart rules at the time did not allow songs to chart UNLESS a single had been issued. These songs would go to radio but if you wanted it, you had to buy the album. So does that mean, songs like "Friends In Low Places" are not "hits" simply because he chose to not release a single? and follow the stupid chart rules about making the pop chart? (btw - Garth Brooks is a country artist). Many of those songs would have charted anyway under current rules. One experimental pop album where he did release a single was commercial failure BUT the single briefly charted. Does that mean that is his ONLY hit? If you still don't buy it, try saying this out loud and convince yourself this is true, without laughing: "Garth Brooks, one of the biggest selling artists of all time, has had only one hit song and therefore is a one-hit wonder because Billboard said so" I will agree that there's more than one definition of what constitutes a hit. Obviously, there's the whole top 40 thing. But even if an artist doesn't cross over, they could still be considered hitmakers in their particular genre of music. Let's take Garth Brooks as an example. He's had only one top 40 hit in pop (Lost in You as "Chris Gaines"). Is he a one hit wonder? But in country, he's had 48 top 40 hits and 35 of them in the top 10. I'd argue that's pretty darn successful for any artist.

It does because she's the vocalist. Also are we going to add Remy Ma to the list? What I said about her not being credited in Lean Back was true.

Lmao. So many salt here.
So, MO counts like OHW? Or 0 hit wonder? Bebe Rexha counts like 0 hit wonder or not?
MO, Bebe Rexha, G-Eazy, and another feats counts like their songs, because they are part of the song.
Why people are so obsessed with a definition?

LOL that on page 15 we are still working on the definition.
So reading through this it appears you guys count featured artists with a hit if it is their first one but a featured artist on hit #2 is still a one hit wonder?

Literally the ONLY thing of value I got out of reading this entire thread. #slowworkday ...and then, there was this: We need here some popcorns but wait...there's more?? Anyways, Major Lazer can be added to the 2015 dropout list. He never had a Top 40 hit other than Lean On, right? Major Lazer is not a "he" so therefore, your entire argument in this thread has been deemed irrelevant. #walkerwins I really can't believe this thread has gone on this long...or that I actually skimmed through it til the end.
