A while ago we did " Songs You Love by Artists You Don't", but unless I missed it, we never did the inverse. Simply put, what are your least favorite songs by your favorite artists (or at least ones you find to be normally very reliable)? I'll need some time to think of more examples, but right now I can go with: Alan Jackson - Country Boy Kris Kristofferson - Why Me Lord Mark Chesnutt - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing

Zac Brown Band - "Beautiful Drug" Brett Eldredge - "Drunk On Your Love" Gretchen Wilson - "Still Rollin'" (I liked this a bit when it came out, and ever since I am more and more annoyed by it). Mark Chesnutt - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing Co-sign Reba - My Sister (the worst!) I love "My Sister", lol. I'm not a huge Reba fan though, so perhaps there's a method for the madness... Tim McGraw - Last Dollar (Fly Away) , Lookin' for That Girl I'll defend "Last Dollar" until the bitter end. There's no way in heck (imo) its "Lookin' For That Girl" level of atrocious.

Terri Clark - "Bigger Windows" from Life Goes On written by Connie Harrington, Kelley Lovelace, & Tim Nichols. Martina McBride - "Still Holding On" from Evolution written by Matraca Berg, Clint Black & Marty Stuart. This one is sad because I love all three writers and obviously love Martina, but it does nothing for me. Keith Urban: "Without You" (zzzz), "Kiss a Girl" (way too teenage for him)
Joey + Rory/Zac Brown Band: "This Song's for You" (preachy and pandering as all hell)
Clay Walker: "She Likes It in the Morning"
Tracy Lawrence: "If You Loved Me" (not that bad, just boring)
Eric Church: "Love Your Love the Most" (lazy list song)
Travis Tritt: "The Girl's Gone Wild"
Big & Rich: "Loud", "Jalapeño", "Fake ID"
Steve Wariner: "A Woman Loves" (is it just me, or is this song sexist as hell?)
Blackhawk: "I Need You All the Time"
Diamond Rio: "God Only Cries"
Garth Brooks: "She's Every Woman"
Reba: "Forever Love", "Ring on Her Finger, Time on Her Hands", "I'm a Survivor"
The Kentucky Headhunters: "Celina Tennessee" (watered down remake of "Dumas Walker"), almost anything off Stompin' Grounds (they sound so tired and lifeless on this album)
Alan Jackson: "Country Boy"
Clint Black: "When I Said I Do", "Something That We Do"
Sugarland: "Tonight", "Stand Back Up"
Kenny Chesney: "Summertime"
Aaron Tippin: "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly"

As much as our tastes usually overlap this post hurts me lol "Big Cry", "Lucky Girl", "Sunny Side Up", "Katie", "She's Got This Thing About Her", "Everything But Quits", "Eight Crazy Hours (In The Story Of Love)", "Lullaby", "Hip To My Heart", and "This Time Around" are all among my favorite songs by their respective artists Let's see for me. I love all of those. :'( I agree with you on "The Breath You Take" though. That song always disappointed the hell out of me when it came on the radio because the opening music is beautiful and then the singing kicks in and I'm like "oh ew, it's this song" and I'd change it, lol.

Jo Dee Messina - "Biker Chick" from Unmistakable: DriveSHeDAISY - "Kickin' In" from Fortuneteller's Melody written by Kristyn Osborne & John Shanks Well, BOTH of you are depressing the crud out of me! I love a fair amount from both of your lists, such as "Big Cry" and "Momma's Night Out", "Sunny Side Up" and "Still Holding On", "Bigger Windows", "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing", "Eight Crazy Hours (In The Story Of Love)", "Somewhere Trouble Don't Go", "She's Got This Thing About Her", "Runaway", "Without You", and I at least enjoy "Real Good Man" most of the time! But, we can totally agree about "The Breath You Take". Honestly, I probably would not dislike that song if it had been left as an album track. Then I could listen to it by choice once a year or so. But I only had to hear it on the radio exactly once before I got sick of hearing it on the radio...

Big & Rich: "Loud", "Jalapeño", "Fake ID" Nothing beats "Party Like Cowboyz". Its honestly the most horrid thing they've ever recorded and it was so bad that radio basically rejected it. What gets me too is that they still play "Jalapeno" in concert sometimes. I think I've heard it the last two times I've seen them.

never saw this thread before but here are a few for me
Martina McBride
"Sunny Side Up" - I cringe every time this song comes on when I'm listening to her discography. It is one of the weakest points of her career imo. "Happy Girl" - I have never been able to enjoy this song for some reason. I've just never liked it. Literally the only song on her Evolution album that I do not like "Heart Trouble" - why was this a single over great songs "Strangers", "That Wasn't Me" and "She Ain't Seen Nothing Yet". Like "Happy Girl" this is the only song on "The Way That I Am" that I do not like "Marry Me" - another why was this a single over other songs situation. Really cannot stand this, it is so boring
Carrie Underwood
"Mama's Song" - I definitely think this song would have been left off as an album track and not a single. Just do not like this one at all "All American Girl" - probably hate this one as much as I do because my work played this song multiple times a day for years but I really cannot stand this one at all
Jo Dee Messina
"Biker Chick" - she is so much better than this mess of a song
Miranda Lambert
"Little Red Wagon" - why was this ever a thing? I really cannot stand this song
Tim McGraw
"Lookin' For That Girl" - this song is a mess "Truck Yeah" - another mess "Back When" - I've never liked this one and never understood the popularity of it "Southern Girl" - another really bad song
there are probably others but those are a few I can think of off the top of my head

Carrie Underwood - Dirty Laundry (justice for Choctaw County Affair) Gary Allan - Do You Wish It Was Me? (My heart bleeds for him cause I really liked his last album) Joe Nichols - Freaks Like Me/Undone (smh) Tim McGraw - Top of the World (this song did nothing for me) Miranda Lambert - Fastest Girl in Town ( justice for Nobody's fool) Little Big Town - Pain Killer (anything but this, it killed that album cycle) Martina McBride - Marry Me (boring choice) Patty Loveless - Trouble with the Truth Lady Antebellum - Freestyle (why was this recorded in the first place?) Chris Stapleton - Either Way (this had no business being a LEAD single)

I went w/ singles for my some of my current (and past - I'm looking at you Blake Shelton) favorite artists:
Chris Young – Losin’ Sleep (I don’t think I’m ever gonna love this one, I'm hoping to like it someday) Dierks Bentley – I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes is his only true dud, IMO. Am I The Only One isn’t my favorite on the radio, but it concerts it’s got a bit more energy Luke Bryan – Loved his early stuff and his Spring Break songs. I could sorta put up w/ the Crash My Party singles, though they weren’t my favorites. Everything on Kill the Lights, except for Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day has been abysmal Blake Shelton – Loved everything 2011 and prior. The era from “Drink on It” to “Everytime I Hear That Song” has been a virtual snooze-fest. The only songs I liked in that period were A Guy With A Girl and Boys Round Here. #sellout Joe Nichols – Take it Off (huge snoozer) Tim McGraw – Only two: Looking For That Girl and Top of the World Brad Paisley – Then and Without A Fight Toby Keith – Shut Up and Drive and Drinks After Work (Totally forgettable. I couldn't sing a line of either song if you put a gun to my head) Alan Jackson – It’s Just That Way Carrie Underwood – The Fighter and Mama’s Song Gary Allan – Today (snoozer) Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson, and Josh Abbott Band – nothing, these guys single releases are spotless to date. Albums too are incredible.

Eric Church "The Outsiders" Miranda Lambert "Little Red Wagon" Dierks Bentley "5-1-5-0" Tim McGraw "Lookin' for That Girl" and "Truck Yeah" Gary Allan "She's So California" Josh Gracin "Unbelievable (Anne Marie)" Keith Urban "Til Summer Comes Around" Kenny Chesney "Shiftwork", "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven", "The Boys of Fall", "Feel Like a Rockstar", "Pirate Flag" (love him, but he's had quite a few duds) Lady Antebellum "Freestyle" Lee Brice "Parking Lot Party" Carrie Underwood "One Way Ticket", "Who Are You" Rascal Flatts "Payback", "Bob That Head" Sam Hunt "Drinkin' Too Much" Thomas Rhett "Star of the Show" Sugarland "Joey", all but the singles on The Incredible Machine

Keith Urban "Til Summer Comes Around" That's not only my favorite Keith Urban song, but one of my all-time FAVORITE SONGS period. haha It bored me to tears when it was a single so I never really gave it a true listen. I need to go back and revisit it because lyrically it is a stellar song, but everything else about the song made it so dull and boring to me
