'Ibiza' might have a remote shot as well.

Its pop airplay gains have slowed quicker than OOTW's did. I've said this before (in her thread maybe) but I think this song is going to have a similar fate as OOTW. It is my opinion that she's suffering from a bit of radio fatigue with these 6th and 7th singles. Hopefully the video and some promo will be enough to propel it in to the top 20 on H100 - but I'm not holding my breath. If that's the case, I really wish they'd made it the sixth single to close the era out. I mean, fatigue was already setting in by the end of 2015 but releasing a bonus track that casual pop fans may not have already heard or bought would've balanced it out a bit. (Maybe it would've performed only marginally better than "OOTW" but still.) I love "OOTW" but it was always just a really great album track for me, whereas "NR" was screaming to be a single. If this single does have some longevity (say 3 or 4 months) I wonder if that will disrupt her "fall every other year" new album strategy. Even if "New Romantics" doesn't do that well I still think this fall will be too soon for a new single/album. Of course the lead single would do well but I think people will be getting a bit burned out by then. Although I guess that never seemed to affect Rihanna...

Taylor needs to wait until 2017 to release a new album. 1989 saturated her in pop culture and radio. She became the it girl of music. It would be best for her to stay out of the light for at least a year. I believe OOTW and NR struggled in part of everyone being tired of her and people have been listening to 1989 since fall 2014. Rihanna was able to do yearly fall releases because she never had an era as massive as 1989. Rihanna has always been huge but was never 'everywhere' like Taylor is.

She's already said she has no plans for a new release in 2016 if I'm not mistaken...

'Ibiza' might have a remote shot as well. I don't really know about that. I REALLY hope it does have a shot at #1, but I don't see it happening. I don't even see it happening for 7 Years. (We can thank Rihanna and Meghan Trainor for that)

If my prediction serves me almost correct, we are in store for a pretty stable top 15 this week (Even with Ariana's possible #12 debut.)

I'll be surprised if 7 Years doesn't go to #1. Well then be prepared for a surprise. Because Ms. No, I mean Meghan Trainor, is coming to take that top spot right before 7 Years passes Work. Resulting in a #2 peak

I honestly don't think Meghan will get to #1 lol Honestly I'd rather her to take that spot and keep the ridiculous Seven Years from number one Seven Years is the first song ever I purchased and then willingly got rid of. It's just... painful, especially the lead singer's voice lol. Just found my computer keyboard can't type out numbers...

So far, it looks very very close for the #3 spot between Stressed Out, My House and 7 Years. Many other chart positions are looking close as well. But I think it is safe to say that no new songs will be entering Top-10 this week. Early predictions: 1. Work 2. Love Yourself 3-5 Stressed Out 3-5 My House 3-5 7 Years 6-7 PILLOWTALK 6-7 Me, Myself & I 8-9 Sorry 8-9 Cake By The Ocean 10 I Took A Pill in Ibiza 11-12 NO 11-12 Dangerous Woman Number eleven and twelve precisely summarized out the whole top ten: No dangerous woman

I feel like Cake By The Ocean is having a similar run to Where Are U Now last year. It's having some pretty bizarre longevity for a song that barely scrapes the top 10 and it's currently still gaining in airplay and somehow in sales too. Even though I don't think it'll reach the top 5 due to the stiff competition up there (Pillowtalk and others still gaining in airplay), it seems like the type of song to stick around a while (could even make a year on the chart at this rate). I would be really happy if it also made the year-end top 20 as WAUN did. It's looking like a strong contender for top 5 on my personal year-end chart...I thought the song's appeal to me would have worn off by now but I guess not.

Similar to LIGLY, Chandelier, LMH, Jealous, etc. Those songs all went top 10, but at the same time were so low in the top 10 it didn't feel ground breaking. They all had great longevity too, minus LMH

They all had great longevity too, minus LMH the thing with hose songs was that their run was split between two years hence why they couldn't get a very high year-end position. CBTO is however peaking in March/April which is basically spring so it has a better chance to get a similar year-end position to WAUN. I was quite shocked when Worth It got year-end top 25 last year without even reaching the top ten on the weekly chart :O

Meghan's got a really good shot at hitting the top within the next few weeks once Work's streaming gets low enough and her video's released. It may take a performance to give it the final kick. By then, airplay will be high and she'll be getting a lot of points from all 3 components.

I agree, I think it would've been a top 5 at least for sure if it were peaking in summer time. It sounds like a summer song (and the video is summer-themed too)

Well..... I'm gonna predict that neither "7 Years" nor "NO" will reach #1. Work will be #1 for at least 5 more weeks..... and the next #1 will be something that isn't in the Top-10 yet.
Regarding CBTO..... it will hang around in the lower part of Top-10 for a few more weeks..... as new songs e.g. NO/WFM etc. enter Top-10, old ones e.g. Sorry/SO/LY will keep exiting the Top-10.

"NO" is rising much slower on Spotify than a typical #1 contender should. So on-demand streaming isn't gonna be high...... I guess it will come down to the appeal of the video and the timing of its release..... they need to wait at least 3 more weeks before releasing the video (but not too long either).

ITAPII has a video and is slowing down at radio, I don't think it even has a chance at Top 5 tbh.
