Man I love all these songs! Just hate the music industry doing Eps. I miss the ole days of buying a record with 10-12 songs. You know like vinyl :)

I was expecting this to be pretty good, but man was I pleasantly surprised. This is great. I think I like every song on here.
"Back Seat Driver" is definitely the most "modern" sounding of them all, but it's got a great melody and the message I think is really unique. Haven't quite heard that before.
So happy we've still got new guys using the fiddle. That's great to hear. And the steel. I bought this first thing this morning and it'll definitely become my go-to in the car when the radio pisses me off.
I think right now my favorite is "Cheap Cologne". Anybody else getting an old school Joe Nichols vibe from this EP? I'm pretty happy with it.

I think right now my favorite is "Cheap Cologne". Anybody else getting an old school Joe Nichols vibe from this EP? I'm pretty happy with it. My favorite is probably a toss up between "Back Seat Driver" and "Lonesomeville", although there isn't a dud on the whole EP. I get the Joe Nichols comparison but I also hear vintage Josh Turner and I even get flashbacks to some late 90's/early 2000's male artists, like Kevin Denney, who co-wrote "Cheap Cologne."

Love this EP. "Lonesomeville" is great and Trent Tomlinson has some great live versions of it on YouTube. Honestly, "Back Seat Driver" is the weakest of the bunch for me and it's pretty good really. "Cheap Cologne" is such a good song, as is "Vinyl". I hope the continued success of "I Met a Girl" leads to a full album release cause I really like William Michael Morgan.

Man, this whole EP is fantastic. I actually think I Met A Girl may be the weakest song on the whole thing. I don't think I've ever purchased an EP (aside from the Blake Shelton mini album experiment that were basically EP's), but I'll definetely be picking this one up. I'd love to see I Met A Girl make the top 30, but it would almost have to double its audience to accomplish that, which seems unlikely. I hope they don't drag it out too long, and get a new single out pretty soon. Vinyl sounds like an absolute smash hit, but really anything other than Lonesomeville would work on radio (can you imagine a neo-trad weeper like that sandwiched between the stylings of Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett on the radio). Now we just need a proper EP (or preferably album) from Mo Pitney.

I'm really thinking they should go with "Vinyl" as the next single. It has been stuck in my head since I bought the EP. It's got a really nice stripped-down sound and the hook is catchy enough for the stone-less PDs to play.

Just finally listened to this earlier this week. This is some damn fine music. Great album. Beer Drinker is refreshingly different than I thought and I love Back Seat Driver - which is also not what you'd expect.
Great album from front to back.
I am torn between Vinyl and Beer Drinker as next singles.
Hope this guy does well.

Believe it or not kw9461, "I Met A Girl" did in fact double its audience and make the top 30. :) I loved the EP when it first came out but now I adore it. "Cheap Cologne" has grown on me immensely; I totally could see Kevin Denney singing that one. "Lonesomeville" is simply stunning; right off the bat with that haunting fiddle too. The one thing that really resonates though is the outstanding production. Every track is flawlessly produced. You can hear every instrument on these tracks and the melodies shine through. I must have a full-length album from him. Must.

I hadn't posted my thoughts in this thread yet, but this EP is wonderful and I definitely want the full-length release asap. Very solid set with excellent vocals, production, and lyrics that are all undeniably country. Wish there were more newcomers cut from the same cloth as him or Mo Pitney getting big mainstream success.

(can you imagine a neo-trad weeper like that sandwiched between the stylings of Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett on the radio). Now you just think I'm stalking this two month old post of yours, lol. But The Highway this afternoon played "Leave The Night On" by Sam Hunt -- then "Vinyl" by William Michael Morgan -- then "Vacation" by Thomas Rhett.
