One Dance is probably the next number one after Panda. It's about time Drake gets a solo #1. One Dance isn't solo, it features Wizkid & Kyla. But I know what you mean. A #1 as a lead artist. |

Maybe it's just me but I don't get the love for 7 Years. Song's alright (nice message and all) but nothing too special in my opinion. I know I've said this before but I'm still surprised it blew up the way it did haha. Good for them though!
Side note: Has a second single announced yet? Not many huge rock/alternate/AAA hits in recent years have had follow-ups that were very successful (except We Are Young and It's Time I think)

I know I've said this before but I'm still surprised it blew up the way it did haha. Good for them though! You're not alone, nothing too special for me as well. I also find his voice is too forced, which makes the song less touching. |

MTSChart21 according to Kworb, Panda debuted on the top 50 on pop (which they consider to be that it added a format), hence the large update. That's why the three stars mean the song added a format so it's update might not be accurate :) What's really weird though is that I checked the pop top 50 there and Panda is not in there...hmm. Maybe it's just that they only today got the numbers of its AI from pop and had it at 0 before?

Crazy Airplay increase for Panda.... No doubt about it now, Panda will be this week's #1. I'm calling it.... 10 Weeks for Panda at #1!! Plz help me with predicting #5 this week! Idk what to pick. Radio gains make me think ITAPII. Spotify losses for ITAPII and PILLOWTALK make me think WFH. I think WFH has a very slight advantage..... But I really want ITAPII to be #5 this week, since next week WFH will have a bigger lead over ITAPII and it may not again get a chance to enter Top-5. And knowing your luck, whatever you will put in the end will likely end up being wrong. :) |

Lately I've been seeing most people saying they either love the song and really want it to be #1, or have a special kind of hate for it. Been a while since I've seen a more divisive song. |

Well, I'd argue the ITAPII not having another chance at top 5 after this week potentially, since the Rihanna song and possibly NO will start falling soon, maybe ITAPII can pass them and still get that #5 or even #4 perhaps. I'm remaining hopeful. I'm convinced that ITAPII will be 6 or 7 this week.

I don't love it, but I can appreciate that it's about something different than most songs out now and has a different sound than a lot of songs. To that end, I'm happy to see it break through regardless of my personal opinion. I love anything that encourages something different. |

Looks like J-Lo is going to have a tough time debuting this week, huh? Sales estimates by themselves were probably not quite enough... and I don't see any considerable streaming numbers or airplay to help it. Am I missing something?

Assuming it hits the top (if not this week, then soon), it looks like "Panda" will be the first "pure" rap song to hit #1 (without a melodic/sung chorus) since "Black and Yellow" 5 years ago.

George Michael did it with Monkey, didn't he? yes! and elton john also did it with crocodile rock. i'm sure there are several others. harry chapin - cat's in the cradle survivor - eye of the tiger the tokens - the lion sleeps tonight trying to find a one-word title like Panda outside of Monkey. no luck yet. |

^I guess that's debatable. I actually re-listened to it before I posted and while the repeating of "black and yellow" has a bit of a hook to it, it didn't sound to me like singing really.
