One time for a carnival (as prizes), I got a music store in my town to donate whatever promo CDs they had that they don't need. They ended up giving like 2000 of them. Most of them were dance music and stuff that wasn't appropriate for children. It was all the stuff they had for like 10 years and hadn't thrown away or sent back. The labels didn't ask for those promos back.
I ended up keeping a good amount of the dance ones.

I heard somewhere it's illegal to sell promo singles? is that true or just a rumor....?? I have heard that too. It probably is anyhow. And sometimes, recipients of promo singles have to send them back if the label asks them too. It usually says this on the back of the CD.
