I'd love it if Rhythmic Radio went back to playing a mixture of Hip-hop and Dance. That's what all of my mixed CD's are composed of. They go from 50 Cent to the Monica to Bassment Jaxx to Sara Atereth to Ian Van Dahl. It's a shame that people seem to draw a line and only stay on one side of it.

I can only tolerate hip hop if it is a dance mix of it. Even then, it better not be one of those drugs/pimps/negative/violent tracks, or it cannot be salvaged. Stacey Mier did a nice mix of "Lean Back" last year for Ultimix. "Lose Control" had some good mixes this year. And if you consider Ciara to be hip hop, she's had a ton of great mixes. But 99% of Hip Hop in it's album/radio version since 1992 has had nothing to do with dance music, which is higher bpm, positive energy.

if Confessions on the Dancefloor is as good or better than "Hung Up'. and all the mainstream radio stations are playing it, i think that's what can bring dance music back to mainstream radio stations....i remember a few years ago there was like one year where all the stations were playing Sandstorm, Heaven, Something, and others...the problem is that they just play that hell out of them, and people just never wanna hear dance again..radio stations just need to be smarter..

^ I was thinking of that a few days ago too, that "Hung Up"'s success might actually become a catalyst for dance music success in the mainstream.

How can people get tired of dance music by hearing a few moderately successful dance songs, but hip hop is played out and people are attracted to it like flies to sh*t (quite literally!)? Sad! I actually think that dance music suffers from people thinking it is "gay music." We all know here that dance music is for everyone, but mainstream seems to have pigeon-holed it. Sad 2!

i can't quite come to understand how people can't be obsessed with dance music like or more than they are with hip hop, the high bpm in dance music has this majorly addictive energy, who wants to hear "lean back" at 7 in the morning, if u wanna wake up in the morning u need some high energy anthem to wake ur ass up, not Kenny G
