Plug Walk definitely doesn't feel like a #23 hit Well, now that its achieved its (likely) peak of #14(?), I can confirm that it certainly doesn’t feel like any bigger then most songs that crack the top 40. Same goes for Japan by Famous Dex and Outside Today by Youngboy Never Broke Again.

All those random Drake collabs and Spotify generated hits that made the top 10 since last summer.

James Arthur - Say You Won't Let Go Have no idea how this became one of the top songs of last year. #11 in the year end of 2017 is just baffling.

As much as I like the song, I Took a Pill in Ibiza feels like way smaller of a hit then a song that peaked at #4 on the hot 100 and #1 on CHR. Also the line about Avicii in it aged horribly.

Every album bomb track that debuts in the Top 10 (with the exception of "Better Now" which I don't know why Post isn't pushing more)

Butterfly by Crazy Town and Informer by Snow did not feel like #1 hits, and I have a hard time believing that they hit #1.

Just realized that a lot of newer Drake songs qualify for this:
God’s Plan and Nice for What feel like they maybe could’ve spent a week or two at #1 each, but not the huge amount of time they did
One Dance? Maybe a top 10 peaker, but no way did it feel like it spent 10+ weeks at #1
Look Alive feels like it maybe spent a bit of time in the teens, not a big top 5 smash
I don’t even think I would know Yes Indeed existed if I didn’t follow the charts, so I’m constantly baffled it’s charting so high. Same with Fake Love, although that one had radio so it made a bit more sense.
And this isn’t even getting into all the Drake album tracks/non singles that debuted high but tanked, like Summer Sixteen, Pop Style, Portland, No Smoke, Diplomatic Immunity, Nonstop, Emotionless...

God’s Plan, Nice For What, and One Dance were inescapable. Idk what you’re smoking.

I seriously don't get how Take Me To Church was somehow massive everywhere. I've never heard it anywhere publicly.

No Brainer. Not only didn't feel like a top 10 hit (never mind a top 5), but also didn't feel like a hit that lasted five whole months on pop radio. And yet, there's No Brainer, a top 5 Hot 100 hit with longevity.

Call Out My Name (#4) Filthy (#9) Focus (#7) Hold It Against Me (#1) I'm the one (#1) : I know it's a big hit but imo it felt like a top 5 or top 3, not #1 Imma Be (#1) : One of most forgettable #1 of Billboard history Never Be the Same (#6) : Forgettable song especially after the huge Havana Never Forget You (#13) : Where I live in Europe this song wasn't a very big hit. Amazed to see that in the US this song was more massive than Lush Life Lights (#2) : I didn't think this song so massive in the US ! Look What You Made Me Do (#1) No Brainer (#5) Psycho (#1) : Felt much smaller than Better Know (that peaked #3)

Look What You Made Me Do was inescapable for a couple weeks though... I know it was inescapable to hit #1 but globally this song wasn't a very big hit like "Shake it off", "Blank Space" or "I knew your trouble". After the comeback effect it hadn't much longevity in Billboard Hot 100 (out after not even 20 weeks !). LWYMD wasn't as massive as a classic #1 song.

After looking at the current chart, I would say Baby Shark doesn't feel like a top40 hit.

One Week by Barenaked Ladies was probably the worst performing #1 of 1998, placing at #51 on the Year-End, and it kind of baffles me that it went #1, it’s just so out of place next to the R&B, rap, slow pop and power ballads.
