Since two other songs of the same title have been posted...
I believe this song hit the urban chart in the summer of 1989. It reminded me a little of their #1 hit from two years before, "Always". Too bad it didn't cross over to Pop.

Their music really suffered when Sharon Bryant left the group. Then they became sappy AC balladeers. I don't dislike this song, but I prefer their earlier songs way more. Barbara Weathers just lacks the soul that Sharon Bryant possesses.

Yeah, I agree OC. Their earlier material was far better. By 1989, their music seemed too polished and lacked emotion.

I liked their ballads. Although, I just heard a piece of this on amazon.com and it didn't sound as good as I remember it being.

Barbara Weathers was already gone (went solo and flopped, when last I read) when they made this song. Portia Griffin replaced her.

Released in the spring of 1989 as the first single from their We're Movin' Up album. This was their second #1 R&B hit.

"Secret Lovers" and "Always" will always be my faves from them, but this one is okay. I like it.
