Does anyone have any good examples of alternative songs with good dance remixes? I am really digging the recent Killers remixes but I don't know about any other Alternative/Rock groups with dance remixes. Rumour had it there was a Junior Vasquez remix of Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue" but I've never been able to locate that. Thanks

I don't know if you could count Duncan Sheik's "On a High" as a rock song, but that had an amazing mix.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" had a few mixes (Ultimix, Hoxton Whores vs Franz Ferdinand Vocal Dub/Mix).
The Rasmus - In The Shadows (Meadows Mix) was great.
That's all I can think of for now.

Man, this is a "loaded" question! First of all, what exactly IS "Alternative" (Dance is played less on the radio than "alternative.") Second, how much time do you have and how far back do you want to go? 15-20 yrs ago "Alternative" included INXS, Depeche Mode, New Order, etc etc, who were quite dancey. Some of the better more recent ones that come to mind though are Sixpence None The Richer "Kiss Me" (Lenny Bertoldo Mix), 1979 (Moby Remix) - Smashing Pumpkins.
Which reminds me... Has anyone ever heard a good DANCE mix (115+ bpm) of "The Reason" by Hoobastank? And have any dance mixes of Green Day surfaced yet?

And have any dance mixes of Green Day surfaced yet? I heard a mashup of "When I Come Around" a few months ago. It had the vocals from the Green Day song and the instrumental and beats from EMF's "Unbelievable." The two songs mixed really well with each other. I wish I could find a copy of it.
