Yes Forester Sisters had some good songs. But I only have their last few albums "I Got a Date," "More than I Am" and "Talking About Men" and they are all terrific.
They seem to change their direction with "Men." They used to be very synth-pop-country and they changed direction with "Men"when they went for a rootiser sound. "Talking About Men" is a stellar album, but I was disappointed they didn't have more big hits with it.
Dolly Parton, Anne Murray, Crystal Gayle and Lee Greenwood also changed to a more "country" sound in the late 80s to early 90s, and they did release some gems. Anne Murray's "You Will" was beyond excellent. And I did love Lee Greenwood's "Holding a Good Hand." He also eleased "A Perfect 10" in the late 80s or was it 90s? The songs were A+ rated.
I didn't get into country music until long after all of these great artists were dropped by their labels. If I were only alive and listening to them in their heydays rather than in hindsight, it would be great!
