Oh and by the way, to save yourself in case you backspace out of a post: go to edit profile -> settings, then 'enable drafts'. You'll be able to recover lost post data if that happens. :)

12/30/2016 (12/31 for most since I live in Pacific time zone. In fact, it's literally 11:59pm here) Update:
So with 2016 winding down, my chart will have a special release schedule over the next week. I will be going on a vacation to Alaska, leaving on 1/1/2017 and returning on 1/7. I am also pretty busy making the 2016 YE Top 150 video, so I didn't have time to calculate points for the 12/31 chart. Since I probably won't have too much time at Alaska, I probably won't be posting my 12/31 (Week 107) chart until late next week (Saturday 1/7 ish), where I will be posting charts and videos for two weeks: 12/31 and 1/7 for the new year. In addition, I will be posting the 2016 YE Video probably when I am at Alaska (since I'm two thirds of the way done with it). Like always, it is advised for you to wait until I finish the countdown, which will start right when the all time countdown ends, before you watch the video, but I can't stop you from watching it, so go ahead if you don't like the suspense from the countdown!
Although I didn't calculate points, what I can say about the 12/31 chart at this point. No exact data because, well, I didn't calculate everything, so everything's an estimate: -VERY close battle between the top 3: Starboy fighting for an 11th week at #1 after a boost from hitting #1 on Billboard, Starving trying to get in a week at #1 after getting blocked for 9 weeks, and newly rising Sing Me To Sleep -Don't Wanna Know gets leap frogged by In My Mind to hit #6, but 24K Magic and Peter Pan should still be holding well in the top 5, with Peter Pan perhaps making a repass of 24K Magic. -Daya has a good chance to make history this week. If Sit Still, Look Pretty holds another week in the top 10, it will hit 30 weeks in the top 10, making Daya the first and only artist on my chart to have two songs that score 30+ weeks in the top 10 (Don't Let Me Down scored 37 weeks in the top 10, just exiting the top 10 3 weeks ago). -I Don't Wanna Live Forever stalls out and its future becomes unknown on whether it will rise or fall. However, Bad Things and Yeah Boy will probably rise enough to hit top 10, ousting Heathens and This Girl. This means SSLP has a good shot to make history, but I Feel It Coming gains big time this week. I'm not sure how much because I didn't do the calculations yet, but I'm guessing it'll enter the top 10 in maximum 2 weeks, with it possibly taking down SSLP this week. -Daya's Words should also gain big time, and it should smash soon. Chase You Down and a few other songs also make modest gains. -All Time Low should enter top 50, with Versace On The Floor and last week's HS Debut Reckless closing in on top 50. Fifth Harmony's (or should I say Fourth Harmony?) That's My Girl also recovers.

When I first started doing personal charts here, I backspaced out of my post and lost everything. I looked around in the settings and magically found that. I wish that was always on for when you start your account, rather than you having to turn it on yourself. It's not really easy to find.

Hey guys, I just came back from Alaska, and man was that trip awesome... Anyway, I will be catching up on my personal chart over the rest of winter break, posting two weeks worth of personal charts over the weekend (for last week and this current week) - and yes, the vacation will effect this week's personal chart and beyond substantially. Sorry for the delay, but I wasn't really able to be much active on Pulse over my vacation because it was just too much fun I just couldn't focus on anything else other than having fun there... Those 82 hours I spent in the Fairbanks region was probably 82 of the most majestic, amazing, and legendary hours I spent ever in the decade, and arguably my life. I'm going to post a compilation video soon with photos I took on my trip :)

The Weeknd f/ Daft Punk (11) Chicken077's Personal Chart - Week 107 (December 31, 2016): The catch up process of my chart begins as "Starboy" scores a 11th week at #1 while "Bad Things" and "Yeah Boy" join the top 10 party. Meanwhile, Daya makes history as the first artist to score a second 30+ weeks in the top 10 song with "Sit Still, Look Pretty"
oh man some of you will not like this chart because of that top 2... So I just got done with calculating the points for both Week 107 (12/31/2016) and Week 108 (this week - 1/7/2017), but I haven't made the videos yet. Here is the chart for Week 107, and I will post the Week 107 video later today (currently making that video). Tomorrow, I will probably post everything for Week 108 (although school starts tomorrow, so video might come out Tuesday), and by the time Week 109 is posted, I will post a "2017 YTD Top Songs" update as well as an update for songs that spent 30+ weeks in top 10 as we have two new entries to that over the next few weeks, as well as a few other records. Also, 2016 YE Top 150 Countdown will begin as soon as I catch up on everything!

Oh my God, Martina jumping all the way to #51 makes my entire week!!!!! I am so shocked at how quickly you are taking to "Reckless" (with literally zero prompting from me! Lol)! Love seeing Maren in the top 20 too :) Now let's see if she can make the top 10! Her song deserves #1 imo, but competition is pretty tough for country songs on your chart, so we'll see what happens. Also, I would 100% be okay with Hailey Seinfeld hitting #1 one of these weeks Lol!

wow, 11 weeks at #1! slay how many weeks has Starving been stuck in the runner-up spot now though? :( Starving has been at #2 for 10 weeks out of Starboy's 11 weeks at #1 (the #2 on Starboy's first week at #1 was Peter Pan), doubling the previous record for most time at #2 without hitting #1 (Dibs under Peter Pan - 5 weeks)... :o

Alan Walker (1) Chicken077's Personal Chart - Week 108 (January 7, 2017): Alan Walker scores his first #1 with his second charting single "Sing Me To Sleep", fueled by repeated plays on the plane to Alaska. Meanwhile, Maren Morris surges into the top 10 with "80s Mercedes" and Daya replaces herself in the top 10 with "Words". Also, Kelsea Ballerini becomes the second artist to score two 30+ weeks in top 10 songs with "Peter Pan"
Sorry Hailee fans... You guys are gonna explode even more when you see the actual chart... even I'm gonna say this but Starving got robbed. Feel free to trash my thread lol And that was supposed to be this week's chart! The chart I was supposed to release this weekend but I didn't due to missing last week. I will probably be posting the video for this week tomorrow, and commentary will be coming on what's happening on my chart recently soon (because it's been a really crazy past 2 weeks or so and next week, with Ed Sheeran's debuts, it's gonna get crazier...)

Commentary for 12/31 and 1/7 charts: So the first week of school in 2017 isn't starting that well. Despite an amazing trip to Alaska last week, everything: my personal life, the stuff going on in the world, stuff on the online community, etc., though not as bad as some of the 2016 weeks, this really isn't a good sign for 2017. Not only did I get sick last Saturday and feel really tired, barely enough to get me up to go to school, we have a history quiz TOMORROW and a calculus quiz on THURSDAY - not even a week into the semester... It's also raining like f*** in California (where I live - I mean it is a good thing, but there are some pretty bad short term effects), causing one of the famous drive-through trees that has been famous for allowing cars to drive through since the 1870s or 1880s (Calaveras Big Tree State Park) to fall down... and in a smaller scale, my backpack got completely drenched today and thank god it's the beginning of the semester... because all the papers and notebooks I have in there are completely wet. Socially, life also isn't going that well (won't go into details... feel free to pm me if you wanna hear about it), and on Pulse, as we all probably know, my first follower of my personal chart left this community for reasons I totally understand, so I won't speak a lot about it. But he's the first ever person that commented on my chart thread and the first follower... so... yeah... And of course, I missed quite a bit of events that happened, but since I need to get into the commentary of my chart, I'll cut these events short... Current top 10 (1/7/2017): # | Song

So over the past few weeks we finally got a new #1 in months! After The Weeknd and Daft Punk's "Starboy" spent an 11th week at #1, Alan Walker scores his first #1 song with "Sing Me To Sleep" on the chart dated 1/7/2017, leaping 3 - 1 over both "Starving" and "Starboy". "Sing Me To Sleep" is the 26th #1 over my chart's 108 week history, and the first #1 not by a "Seven Kings and Queens" artist since Mike Posner's "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" in April/May 2016. "Sing"'s ascent to the peak is likely due to repeated plays of this song on the airplane to Alaska (part of the 1/7/2017 tracking period). As "Sing Me To Sleep" ascends to the peak, watching Hailee Steinfeld's movie Edge Of Seventeen wasn't quite enough to propel "Starving" above "Starboy" on the 12/31/2016 chart, but since "Starboy" is starting to descend, "Starving" was able to overtake it on the 1/7/2017 week despite losing in points. This means that "Starving" is now not only blocked by "Starboy" from the #1 position, but is also blocked by "Sing Me To Sleep", now for a total of 11 weeks at #2 without hitting #1. Will "Starving" hit #1? It is pretty certain that "Sing Me To Sleep" will drop a bit this week (since there's no Alaska trip anymore), but "Starving" is also beginning its descent, so I wouldn't bet on it. Also, Ed Sheeran is going to have two splashy debuts next week. Probably not at #1 (since #1 debuts never occur on my chart), but likely going to smash the top 10 soon after debuting. RIP "Starving"... Under the top 3 is Maty Noyes's "In My Mind", which surged 7 - 4 on the 12/31/2016 chart due to a surge in plays, and continual plays on the airplane kept it afloat at #4 on the 1/7/2017 chart. This is looking to have decent longevity in the top 10, but it seems as if it is losing momentum to break top 3. But with all three songs in the top 3 losing in points, it still may have a chance if Ed doesn't gain too quickly and "Mind" is kept afloat for long enough. Under Maty is Kelsea Ballerini's smash hit "Peter Pan", finally hitting 30 weeks in the top 10 on the 1/7/2017 chart! Also worth mentioning, Daya's "Sit Still, Look Pretty", despite falling 10 - 13 on the 1/7/2017 chart, hit 30 weeks in the top 10 on the 12/31/2016 chart, becoming just the 8th song to achieve that feat! ("Peter Pan" becomes the 9th song to achieve that feat. Since more and more songs seem to be hitting that 30 weeks mark, we may have to create a 35 weeks mark soon.) In addition, Daya becomes the first artist to score two songs that made 30+ weeks in the top 10, and Kelsea Ballerini became the second artist to do so and also the first artist to score two 30+ weeks in the top 10 songs as the lead artist on both tracks! Daya was previously featured on "Don't Let Me Down", which scored 37 weeks in the top 10 (second most of all time just behind "Style") in 2016, while Kelsea Ballerini's "Dibs" scored 31 weeks in the top 10 in 2016. Congrats to both Daya and Kelsea for making history! "Peter Pan" is still holding on very well, so we'll see if Kelsea can break the "Style" record! Under "Peter Pan" is a huge point gap followed by a huge string of newer arrivals in the top 10. These strings of songs are headed by Maren Morris's second single "80s Mercedes", pushing 23 - 20 on the 12/31/2016 chart and zooming 20 - 6 on the 1/7/2017 chart, becoming Maren's first top 10 hit. This massive gain is due to the SNL performance which was broadcasted on my local station right after New Year's Rockin' Eve and right before my Alaska plane flight, and coincidentally, was played a couple of times on the Alaskan radio. However, this does mean that "Mercedes" may take a hit next week, but it is gaining some traction in the personal plays category as well and also the formal charts category, so we'll see if it can maintain a position next week! Under Maren is 12/31/2016 top 10 arrival, Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello's duo "Bad Things", zooming 16 - 8 on the 12/31 chart and pushing 8 - 7 on the 1/7 chart. The 16 - 8 zoom is primarily due to the Camila buzz due to her leaving 5H and a surge in personal plays, but it managed to maintain its momentum on the 1/7 chart despite the Camila buzz ending and falling out of the top 10 on BB by 5H's performance on New Year's Rockin' Eve. It's also recovering from all its personal play losses between 12/31 and 1/7, and is looking to have some longevity at least in the short run. But for a higher peak, it has to do something, which is very possible. At #8 on the 1/7 chart is Kelsea's fourth single "Yeah Boy". After the video fueled 21 - 13 surge on the 12/24 chart, it continued to push 13 - 9 on the 12/31 chart and 9 - 8 on the 1/7 chart. Though it gained a lot of momentum in the process of and seems to be peaking in points soon, that's likely just due to the video buzz dying down, and as this becomes more popular in the mainstream (hoping it does), "Yeah" still has a chance, just like "Sit Still, Look Pretty" in summer 2016 - it peaked at #5 in June 2016, but regrew on me later on due to the song finally getting traction on the mainstream to hit #1. Something tells me that "Yeah Boy" might have a similar fate. Under "Yeah Boy" is Bruno Mars's "24K Magic", which is quickly growing off me, stumbling 4 - 6 on the 12/31 chart and 6 - 9 on the 1/7 chart, and with a few songs wanting to get in the top 10 next week and Ed's debuts, this is looking to fall off the top 10 pretty soon. Under Bruno is another top 10 entry by Daya, her third single "Words", which due to immense increases in personal plays over both weeks of Winter Break, surged 22 - 17 on the 12/31 chart and 17 - 10 on the 1/7 chart. Although this isn't even popular in the mainstream yet and it doesn't even have a lyric video yet, this is really looking to smash my charts and might actually become another MASSIVE hit from Daya even if it doesn't gain traction in the mainstream, and just think about once it gets popular in the mainstream... man... another "Starboy"/"Peter Pan" sized hit coming? Under the top 10, The Weeknd and Daft Punk's second collab "I Feel It Coming" recovers 65 - 26 on the 12/31 chart and surges 26 - 14 on the 1/7 chart, looking to enter the top 10 very soon. Both "First Time" and "Back To Me" seems to be cursed at around #15, especially the former, which entered the top 15 numerous times but never seemed to be able to crack #14 before falling down again. "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" takes a few hits but with the movie coming soon, this may recover a bit, though this did grow off me a lot, so top 10 status is still in question. RUNAGROUND's "Chase You Down", though initially not being too prominent, due to massive gains on SiriusXM Hits 1's Weekend Countdown, moved up 25 - 23 on 12/31 and 23 - 20 on 1/7 to make top 20. "Mercy", after a relatively longer incubation period, finally surged to #26 on 1/7 due to New Years Eve performance and is looking to continue advancing, likely to become Shawn Mendes's fourth top 20 hit. "Love Story" reenters at #31 this week, because if you followed the Taylor Swift rankdown thread, you may know that Fairbanks LOVES "Love Story" and plays it everywhere on the radio: the hotel, the airport, the bus, etc. and grew on me enough to "debut" at a high position (since I didn't have a chart when the song was popular. If I did, "Love Story" would probably have been a 5 or 6 week #1). Similar case with "Uptown Funk", which was played a couple of times on the bus (most notably when we were at the Yukon River Camp), allowing it to reenter at #46. Sadly, with all the competition going on, both aren't looking to stay for too long. Lauren Alania's "Road Less Travelled" also continues to make gains into top 35 following the YE Madness competition, as well as Martina McBride's "Reckless" into the top 50 (following a very "Peter Pan" style rise). "That's My Girl" surges 99 - 50 on 12/31 and pushes 50 - 47 on the 1/7 chart, the 12/31 surge due to multiple plays on the radio while shopping for winter clothes before the Alaska trip to prep for the trip, the latter push due to New Years Eve performance. Niall Horan's "This Town" also finally gains some momentum as it is set to enter top 50 soon, but with all 1D songs, it's longevity may not be that great. We have two major dropouts these two weeks: on 12/31: G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha's former #10 song "Me, Myself & I" drops out with 53 weeks on chart, and on 1/7, Flo Rida's former 4 week #1 and 36 week top 10 song "My House" drops out with 65 weeks on chart. Both very solid songs from 2016 and where will it finish on my YE chart? Watch my YE thread to find out! So after spending quite a bit of time writing that narrative, I should feel better after a bad first two days at school, but for some reason, I still feel kinda down and all... maybe because I'm sick? Maybe because I just wasted 40 minutes of my study time? I honestly don't know... although this isn't as bad as certain weeks in 2016, for the first week in the semester... man not a good sign... (And that's why I didn't post the 1/7 video yet. I finished making the captions but didn't compile them yet; vid should probably be out on Thursday or something) Hopefully everything goes better... :) Tags: @markg94 :'( Leo ✔ Ice Cream 15 (Broccoli 2018) MTSChart21 Sambalada georgetherunner314 bboat11 fearlessarrow Mr. Thonk Eyes .indulgecountry born Xaprios Dan G. Video (for last week's chart 1/7) was actually uploaded yesterday, but I forgot to post it here so here you guys go Pretty sure some of you have watched it already As for this week's chart, I just finished calculating the very top, and it looks like a close battle of SMTS, Starboy, and Starving for #1 again. But I see the victor here actually lasting for at least the next 2-3 weeks before getting overtaken by probably a new song, denying the other two songs chances of returning to #1 (and if Starving doesn't take #1 this week, it's chances are officially negligible...). Top 5 still seems to be in a stranglehold, with the top 3 being the three S songs, #4 being In My Mind, and #5 being Peter Pan. The bottom half of the top 10, however, is VERY active. We have just one new entry in the top 10 this week, but I have an early prediction that it's gonna be the next #1, succeeding the domination of the S's (SMTS, Starboy, Starving). We also have Ed Sheeran's two debuts Castle On A Hill and Shape Of You. I seem to be one of the only guys that likes COAH better than SOY, but both are AMAZING songs. I'm not sure if I like the two as much as Photograph and Don't, but those two are hands down masterpieces and Sheeran's songs do tend to take time to grow on me. I think I enjoy COAH and SOY more than I enjoyed Don't at first and just a tad bit less than Photograph at first, so we'll see what happens! Both have amazing futures on my chart to look forward to. As for this week's debut position, both are VERY high. Top 10 debuts are VERY rare (only happened 3 times in 108 weeks other than week 1: by Can't Feel My Face, NO, and Starboy - the second instance being a result of starting to use a point system causing everything on my chart to go bonkers, so NO doesn't really count. So technically only 2 top 10 debuts occurred, and both are by The Weeknd), but can Ed pull it off with COAH or perhaps both SOY and COAH? Well, the latter category is dismissed because I said only 1 new top 10 arrival this week. With the former, COAH is doing amazing in the personal plays category and social category and is doing amazing for a first week song on the radio/public listens category, but has no points on the Billboard category and barely any points in the radio countdowns category as well as the Youtube category. This equation doesn't look fitting for a top 10 debut, as CFMF and Starboy, on their first weeks, had strong points in every category except Youtube... so not looking too well for Ed. But still, high debuts are rare on my chart and a debut anywhere above 30 can be considered legendary. So we'll see!

Alan Walker (2) Chicken077's Personal Chart - Week 109 (January 14, 2017): Alan Walker's "Sing Me To Sleep" holds a second week at #1 despite losing points it gained from the Alaska trip last week, holding back "Starving" for a jaw-dropping 12th week at #2. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran logs two top 20 debuts with "Castle On The Hill" at #6 and "Shape Of You" at #17.
A little late this week, but here y'all go! Video is right under the chart if you prefer that version! (interesting flashback song on the video as well!)

Your top 10 is such an impenetrable cluster right now! Maren seems to be caught in it now. Hopefully she can keep climbing!!! #1 or bust!! Also super impressive that Ed Sheeran managed to pull off a top 10 debut. The song is really good, based on the preview in your video :) Holy crap at Martina's jump again too! She just continues to fly up your chart, and I am drooling!!! Also, I honestly had not noticed that "Sober Saturday Night" was on your chart... That is so awesome! Excellent choice! Also, Jana Kramer's "Circles" is so amazing, I hope it can hang on for a long slow climb racking up a lot of points. And the Carrie Underwood debut too! I swear you have more country on your chart than ever before! I love it!
