Already Ready is great, I really hope it's the next single. And How Not To for single #3. The entire album is so good though!

This duo continues to be a guilty pleasure for me. They just know how to write catchy, feel-good vocal arrangements and melodies. Shay Mooney is a gifted vocalist, too.
It's such a shame that we've seen multiple "Lipstick's" in Country music lately (including the current debut single from Runaway June) because Dan + Shay's "Lipstick" is really good -- maybe my favorite song on the album outside of the lead single. I wish that one got released at some point but I doubt it. I have no doubt they'll go with a uptempo party like song next anyway.
I also enjoy "All Nighter", "Road Trippin'" and "Already Ready" and for sure I see one, maybe two of the three being a single. My other favorite on the album is "How Not To" and I could also see that being released; I think that is one of the best written tracks on the record.
They definitely lean Pop but I do think this is good music. The only song I don't care for is the title track.

1st Week Sales Projections from Hits Daily Double:
Maren Morris (Columbia Nashville) 40-45k SPS, 35-40k sales Dan + Shay (Warner Bros. Nashville) 28-32k SPS, 22-26k sales
I knew Maren would do quite well, and 40k is honestly about what I was expecting for her, but I also expected Dan + Shay to be somewhere in the 40-50k range. "From The Ground Up" is selling very well and I have no doubt that it will lead to some album sales longevity, but I also think they could have scored a bigger debut week if they had waited to release the album until "From The Ground Up" was top 10 in airplay.
However, if I'm wrong and their album doesn't wind up 'having legs', then I think it's safe to say that radio is trying to make Dan + Shay more popular than they actually are in the current marketplace. "Nothin' Like You" did extremely well for a 3rd single, especially considering the fact that its predecessor didn't even go top 20, and now "From The Ground Up" is moving very fast considering that it's just the 4th overall single from a new act.

What would be really crazy is if they release "Lipstick" as a single and Kip Moore releases "Lipstick" from his album as a single. Then we could have the potential of 3 "Lipstick" songs being hits!
