Her debut EP is absolutely fantastic. I forgot when this was supposed to be coming out but I just stumbled across it on Spotify tonight and wow, I love it!

"Jail" and "Someone To Take Your Place" are both excellent, and "Side Effects" is catchy as hell! "Pregnant At Prom" is a pleasant song with a throwback country feel. "Vows" is okay; might be a grower, but 4 out of 5 isn't too bad lol.
As far as her voice goes, I actually don't like it as well as I originally thought I did. Her voice works pretty well on "Someone To Take Your Place" but I realized I wasn't a huge fan of her tone when I listened to acoustic/live performances on YouTube. Don't get me wrong, the girl can sing, and something about her delivery is very intriguing. But her tone is a bit grating to me, to be honest.

I thought her voice was a bit odd on her debut single but I still really liked it anyway, but now... I think it *might* be my least favorite song on the EP. It's either 4th of 5 or 5th on the EP for me, and I LOVE the other songs. I actually think her voice works very well on all these other songs and I enjoy it a lot. It's definitely unique, but I'd say so in a good way (unlike someone like Tucker Beathard, lol). And I love how country the production and lyricism is of these songs! I knew it would be from the titles alone, but I'm glad to see it delivered.

I don't mind Tara's voice, though I can see it getting under people's skins (I don't care for Jana Kramer's voice at all, so I guess everyone is different...it also might spell doom for Tara in testing, with whatever she releases to radio).
I really enjoy this debut EP. The weakest song might be "Someone To Take Your Place". Or perhaps "Side Effects", but I like both. "Vows" has a great melody and "Jail" is a very unique take on a song idea -- almost feels Halloween'ish, lol. Probably just me.
Best song is "Pregnant At The Prom", no doubt. I didn't know exactly what direction that song would take with a title like that but the song is beautiful.
Also, she loves her quirky lyrics. I've probably heard a dozen or more words/phrases in her EP that I rarely hear anywhere else. I did notice she used the word "cigarette" in the first three tracks, multiple times. Haha
