Listening to this now and I'm extremely pleased, like I expected to be. "Lie With Me" is the track from Lady Antebellum's "747" which was my favorite song on the album and I like David's version too. I'll post more thoughts after a few listens but damn is "Good At Tonight" an incredible song. I hope that one gets released next.

He's like the male Miranda Lambert for me because every single one of his albums is such an incredibly airtight and immaculate piece of work. He's such an albums artist. And that fucking voice is just heavenly. Definitely up there with Josh Turner as the best male vocalist(s) in the biz, imo. Such a talent. I'm only on the second run-through of the album after buying it so I'll give more thoughts on favorites and such later, but "Good at Tonight" definitely stands out to me like a radio smash so I hope that Bros. Osborne being on it doesn't dissuade them from being able to send that one out for the second single because I think that could be another #1 hit for David Nail.

"Good at Tonight" and "Fighter" are the best things on here. Love both of them. Hopefully they will be the other two singles from the album (if he can make it three singles deep... a challenge with the glacial pace he goes up the charts).
Loving the whole album after 1 day of listening.

To be quite honest, I'm not really floored. Listened to the whole album from A-Z without aborting or skipping songs (which is usually a good sign). I'll probably have to grow into this project. First verdict after one listen (which obviously is not enough to have a well grounded opinion): "Night's On Fire" is the worst track and "Old Man’s Symphony" is HUGE!.

Anyone have distortion or clipping on a couple tracks? Evident on Babies and Lie with Me when he sings on the loud parts?
..And Old Man's symphony has white noise. Maybe that's intentional for a raw sound?
Maybe it's something with my computer...
Great album but probably won't be repeating it in my car for 3 months like his other albums!

One of the most underrated artists in country music. "Kiss You Tonight" and "Turning Home" should've been top 10 hits if not #1 singles for him. I bought this yesterday and can't wait to hear it. Hr never disappoints me with his music.

I'm really loving Fighter. Sure hope that's a single. The tracks with Vince and Lori are stunning but probably not single material. David has such an amazing voice.

I think my favorite songs -- now that I've listened to the album a half dozen or so times -- are the first four tracks + "Fighter." All five of those are just magic to me. I also didn't care that much for "Babies" the first time I heard it but then it grew on me immensely with repeated listens and I like that one a lot too, especially knowing that he wrote it about how his wife struggled for years to have kids and then they had twins. I probably heard about him having twins before but I'd forgotten all about it. Great inspiration behind that one and it makes me appreciate it a lot more. The rest of the record is quite solid, too. Love his music.
"Good at Tonight" and "Ease Your Pain" sound like the best options for single #2 so I hope one of those follows "Night's on Fire." I'd love for it to be GAT, but with Bros Osborne on it, they might not go with it, but EYP should work, too. "Got Me Gone" would probably be an alright choice as well. And I think that "Fighter" could be a kind of 'dark horse' single contender even, though I'd hold off on that for third single if he gets one this time.
ETA: "Home" is probably my favorite overall on the record. It's the most similar to "Brand New Day," which was my fave on the last record, though I definitely liked BND a lot more (probably my top David Nail track to date, that one).

I always look forward to new music from David but this is underwhelming for me. I thought maybe his cover of Lie With Me would be better than the Lady A version but it wasn't for me. I just don't hear any hits on this record. His version of the Adele song "Send my Love to your new Lover" is better than Adele's version and I wish he'd record more stuff like that for radio.

I'll be honest, I've never been a big David Nail fan but I could appreciate his voice, if that make sense? But oh my gosh, I listed to Babies the other day after reading an article/interview about the struggles he and his wife went through to get pregnant and I cried over that song. I don't have children or fertility struggles but knowing the story and hearing the song, it just made me tear up. I have plans though to listen to the whole album soon because that song right there sold me completely.

I am a big David Nail fan and I think this one is going to have to be a grower, it's good...but compared to his previous albums I'm not sure I'd put it above or beside any of them. Have to give it some time to see. I agree with others though that "Old Man's Symphony" is excellent.

Huge David Nail fan. I'm About To Come Alive is in my Top 20 albums of all time. Love all of his albums (I don't have the very first one but would love to.)
For all the other albums it only took one listen and I was hooked. Listened to them for weeks straight.
Not sure what it is with this new one but it is taking a little time. I have loved the production of the other albums although some say it is a little much. This album almost seems underproduced if there is such a thing.
While I do like voices to be left alone as much as possible, it seems like his voice could have been touched up a bit more. Especially on Lie With Me. I am not sure exactly how to explain it.....
I do like the songs and I don't see my self skipping anything but there is nothing here like a Red Light, Counting Cars or Broke My Heart. Those songs grabbed me on first listen.
I agree that finding singles from this album will be tough and I hate that so much. Not sure how many more chances he gets.

Good At Tonight definitely sounds like a hit and I think Champagne Promise has sleeper #1 potential

Champagne Promise is the track that clicked with me the most on first listen and I've been going back to it all week.

Not the biggest David Nail fan but I bought Home, Champagne Promise, The Fighter, and Got Me Gone. Love all of them. I'm very surprised because I thought I'd like one track, if that.

Debuts at #3 on the Country Albums chart this week, behind Steven Tyler & Chris Stapleton. #3 country, #26 top 200 album with 12,000 sold. Congratulations, David Nail! Still shaking my head at the fact Steven Tyler topped the chart. I just don't get it. "Love Is Your Name" was just okay. (I actually liked it less and less as time went on). And, I tried to like the album, but I kept thinking it just sounded off. Oh well, I am glad to see David in the top three again...like he was with, I'm A Fire. Here's to hoping that this spectacular album produces at least one #1 single. There are some gems that could do the trick.
