Random thread idea but... what are some of your favorite names of country artists?
These are some fun ones that stand out to me for one reason or another: Jo Dee Messina Lee Ann Womack Kelsea Ballerini Kacey Musgraves Easton Corbin Dierks Bentley Kellie Pickler Reba McEntire Sunny Sweeney
Fun band names: Dixie Chicks SHeDAISY Little Big Town The JaneDear Girls Thompson Square
Favorite aliases: Eileen Edwards --> Shania Twain Christina Ciminella --> Wynonna Judd
^I can't imagine either of these two having been nearly as successful as they were without changing their names (which seems a touch silly, but I feel like it's possible?).

I love that Jon Pardi's fan club is the Pardi Animals. Fun fact: Dierks is his middle name.

I always loved saying Kellie Coffey's name too.
Just re-watched her documentary on her career and man, that's the best doc on the music/radio industry and being a new recording artist I've ever seen.

Oh I am an idiot. I mistook this to favorite country singers. Oh well.

Dierks Bentley. Dierks Dierks Dierks Dierks Dierks. That's a cool name to say for sure. There was a time when I would walk around saying Dierks Dierks Dierks Dierks Dierks whenever I was seeing him in concert that night. I've since matured. A bit. Maybe.

Seeing how I was living in Tallahassee, which is a FL city about 30 minutes away from the GA border, the name Florida Georgia Line really resonated with me. They definitely match the feel of both states IMO.

Thought of another one I love: Loretta Lynn. Love that first name and having the same first consonant for the first & last names tends to make a name sound a little catchier and pleasing to me.

The literary device to which you are referring is "alliteration" ;) And I totally agree with you! That's what makes Loretta Lynn an awesome name, as well as Tara Thompson. And, you know, it's pretty much just another reason to love Martina McBride as well!

I don't know why I didn't just use that word instead because it would've been more succinct, but it didn't cross my mind at the time to simplify it, lol. But yes, I love Martina's for that reason as well! It's also aesthetically pleasing how there's the same number of letters in 'Martina' and 'McBride' too.
