Alexis Strum was signed to WEA a couple of years ago. Her debut album was produced by Xenomania (Cher, Girls Aloud, etc.), including the first single, "Addicted" (with additional Xenomania mixes). Promos were sent out to radio stations and DJs, and the single had a release date. A few weeks before its release, it was canceled since it received virtually zero airplay and video play. She was dropped by WEA. She is now back and signed to Mercury Records... but for how long? First single from her Mercury debut album ("Cocoon"), "Bad Haircut" was released on September 26, 2005 and it peaked somewhere in the Top 500! It was a huge flop. The album was scheduled to come out a week later, but it didn't... for obvious reasons. The next single, "It Could Be You", is released on February 20, 2006, while 'Cocoon" follows a forthnight later. Alexis insists that "Bad Haircut" will be re-released.
