www.countryliving.com/life/entertainment/a39624/this-nashville-life-podcast/ (portion of article is below) A few years ago, country artist Kelleigh Bannen was on the brink of achieving a milestone every young musician dreams of: having a single on the radio, a bona fide commercial hit. The Nashville native had signed with EMI Records and was working on her first album with producer Jason Lehning. Of Bannen's first batch of songs, label execs found one, in particular, very promising. "The response [to "Famous"] was immediate. Everyone was talking about it being the single. It was like, oh, okay, this is what it's like when you know you have a hit on your hands," Bannen recalls in the opening dialogue of her new podcast, This Nashville Life.

I heard it a couple of days ago and it was really interesting. Kelleigh is basically explaining how radio works with labels and how singles are worked by labels to radio. A lot of interesting thoughts, but it is also a bit weird because Kelleigh's matter of fact about country radio can sound a little bit forced. Waiting patiently for the next chapters...

That was a good podcast, and looking at the guests she's going to have on I'll be listening to this whenever there's an episode!

As someone who listens to podcasts more than he probably should, adding another one to the list seems unlikely, but after the first listen I'm liking this.

Kelleigh said it, she is taking a huge risk by doing this and in my opinion, exposing what Nashville really is. I am looking forward to more topics (she has the preliminary list on thisnashvillelife.com).

I loved the podcast and the insight not enough people know about but man, Kelleigh's a natural behind the radio microphone. If I was a media exec somewhere involved in music, I would at least give her a call, lol. This subject isn't exactly going to make program directors bubbly but I think this could be a great outlet for Kelleigh and be a nice second career for her (media in general). It easier to do a Podcast vs. live radio but she was smooth in her discussion and format.
I knew most of what Kelleigh talked about but I desperately want more fans and listeners to know this stuff and hear from the people who can enlighten them.

Really liked this new episode, as someone who loves songwriting as much as I do, this was a great listen. I'll say, only one small complaint, I kind of wish the interviews were played in full and not split up throughout the episode, but that's really just being nitpicky.

She released a new podcast yesterday and continues to expose Nashville for what it really is.
