Not sure how weird this is but Missy Elliott had 4 #1's on the Bubbling Under Chart 1999-05-08: She's A Bitch 2001-03-17: Get Ur Freak On 2001-12-08: Take Away 2019-09-07: Throw It Back Although the first 3 eventually charted (#90,7,45 respectively), what I think is cooler is the week Throw It Back was #1 on the Bubbling Under, Lizzo's Truth Hurts reached #1 on the Hot 100!

Odds of this being true for any act: 100% are you dense? Nope, it is true of any act that all their albums that have peaked in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 have peaked in positions #1 thru #5. It is simply stating exactly the same thing two different ways.

It is simply stating exactly the same thing two different ways. So what if an act had only one album that charted that debuted at number one? What do you do there?

Not so, as phrased, there is no requirement that every position from 1 to 5 be filled.

Not so, as phrased, there is no requirement that every position from 1 to 5 be filled. Okay, you're right on that. But I think how they stated their example kind of implied that.

Not so, as phrased, there is no requirement that every position from 1 to 5 be filled. Okay, you're right on that. But I think how they stated their example kind of implied that. And I don't think it even qualifies as a coincidence - the unlikely occurance of two or more things. It's just a statistic. Now if the same were true of Ray Charles, then the coincidence would be that 2 black, blind keyboard/vocalists had albums that peaked at every position in the top 5. But if only one person did it, it's an incidence, not a coincidence. In any case, it's an interesting stat, but I wonder how common or uncommon it is for an artist to have peaked at every top 5 position on the Billboard 200. Just did some checking: The Rolling Stones first 5 top 10 US album releases peaked at #3 (12x5), #5 (The Rolling Stones, Now), #1 (Out of Our Heads), #4 (Everybody's Children), and #2 (Aftermath). So maybe not even that rare.

Hot 100 October 26, 2019 : #14 Ed Sheeran feat. Khalid - Beautiful People #15 Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber - I Don't Care Again, not that uncommon. But two acts achieving consecutive positions on the same chart is: #23 Jonas Brothers - Sucker #24 Jonas Brothers - Only Human Especially when those are the only currently charting tracks for those respective acts.

So, now both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have hit #1 with songs about loving themselves.

Also, as another coincidence last week's #1 in the Hot 100 was also about somebody they loved.

It's crazy that it happened to the Canadian Hot 100 as well two months ago. You'd think something like this would be too good to happen once, let alone twice.

Yeah. Is Hot Girl Bummer a spoof of Hot Girl Summer or something or are they just completely unrelated? If not, just the fact that two such similar titles would be released and chart together on the Hot 100 at the same time, even if not in consecutive positions, is a coincidence enough in itself!
