I just don't understand the point in her releasing this album, especially with this insipid material. Beautiful Trauma hasn't even been out a full two years, and it did very well for her. If I'm not mistaken, it's almost at 1M in pure sales, which is not achieved much these days. Yes, it had two tour bundles, but that brings me to my next point...the tour has sold very well and it's not over until later this year. She won't even be free to promote. I could see her releasing a new album right now if she were trying to get out of her contract or something, but didn't she sign another multi-album contract with RCA a few years ago? I think there's still a lot of fire inside of her, but she needs a new A&R or something. She needs someone to push her, musically.

Yeah I don't get why she wanted to release this with such uninspired material. I am starting to think these are just leftovers that weren't good enough to make her last two cds. Maybe she is truly embracing the "release albums just to tour" method? But like, if so, take some chances with it? Plus, isn't she still touring Beautiful Trauma? Is this a last cd on a contract maybe and she is just trying to shove something out quick?

It is strange to me that she's releasing an album so soon after the last one (which I'll never complain about) but despite the songs released, there doesn't seem to be much buzz. Pink was never front and centre as far as big names go but her albums should be bigger events than they are. She's definitely more respected as an artist and performer than her material often lends itself to be. I do wonder though, if Pink were to really change her sound up, what would we want it to be? Would we want more dance pop Pink, R&B leaning Pink, country-tinged Pink, rocker bitch Pink, folky Pink. I'm not even sure.

I was just telling my friend, who’s a huge P!nk stan, that it doesn’t feel like we’re getting a whole new album in 2 weeks. And, personally, I don’t think she’s ever made a truly bad album yet but this collection of songs so far definitely feels the least inspired coming from her. Personally, I think a more soulful Pop record a la Meaning of Life would be great coming from her but she tends to skew more towards folk.

There’s a reason she’s putting out a new album, there has to be...either she’s taking a solid break after this album or she has something cooking and wants/needs a current album to promote.
I just don’t like the hooks on the songs, but they’re not bad songs. I’m going to hope they’re just buzz tracks, and she’s saving the singles. But I don’t know why I’m hoping that when last era, they ended up being the singles. Ive given up on P!nk pushing the envelope. That P!nk left with IND. Hurts 2B Human is nice.
And yes, the album is probably mostly leftovers, she said at the beginning of the Beautiful Trauma era that she may put out a second album with those tracks.

I like the title track. It’s dated April 22, 2018 and that’s probably why it’s available

Personally I'd love to see Pink go back to making some r&b/pop music like her first album. There You Go and Most Girls are still 2 of my all-time faves from her.

However, like someone said, she prefers the folk route rather than r&b...sucks cause Cant Take Me Home was what made me fall for her in the first place...she was so rad...then M!ssundaztood came and my fandom was CEMENTED. PICTURE a double disc. One side: R&B, hiphop, dance, and the other side: rock, blues, gospel. JESUS. <3

This era is such a non-event. Literally no hype.
I'm guessing they're counting on the tour to make money because otherwise we would be looking at a push back for the album.

Is she worth seeing on tour? I could get good seats for her show but it's so expensive!

I’ve seen her live 3 times in a row. I recommended 3 friends of mine to join me last time. They’re more into Latin music and a few classic artists so they weren’t that convinced at the beginning. They saw one of her award performances and were intrigued. I emphasized that she’s a MUST see. We went. We got floor ticket. Not the cheapest. But they were FLOORED. All of them said it was the best concert they’ve ever been to I’m a huge fan. She’s managed to rival Madonna as my favorite concert act. She’s amazing! Vocals, production, interaction, art. The best combination for sure!!!
