Yay! I was worried as I saw Love & Theft already so I assumed Gloriana wouldn't make the cut, since Love & Theft had better chart success than Gloriana.

But holy sh!t that is a lot of great artists in those 10. All have put out at least one song I absolutely adore, man the 2000s were so good!

It feels like her songs in the 2000s did much better than the chart reflected. I completely forgot that "No Fear", "Three Mississippi", and "She Didn't Have Time" all missed the top 20. She only had 4 top 20 hits in the 2000s, but like 8 or 9 songs that I actually thought were pretty big hits...

Believe me I tried getting her in she's my all time favourite but I had to stick by the rules. I used the same one in last years 90's DZ. I thought of changing the rules but then too many 90's artists took over the list instead of 00's artists which this dz is meant to celebrate. Since they've already been passed (these standings are. Asked on the whitburn points list) I can tell you that Vince Gill, Tracy Byrd, and Trisha Yearwood also miss the cut by one. :(

On the flip side their abscence means we get to see some smaller artists compete when they wouldn't have had a chance to. When the next decade is done. :)

I'm pumped for this. I obviously expect a lot of the female artists to make it far. But I am excited a lot.

So many great artists, I have no idea who I am gonna save starting November 3rd. Nearly all of the artists here have songs I adore.

This will be intresting to say the least.

So the reason I revealed everybody a week in advance is because I took a look at the list and decided that there was some names missing. There were some artists who may not have had huge radio careers but who did represent the 00's pretty well. I'm giving them a chance to compete. There's going to be 30 wildcard slots. 10 Male artists, 10 Female artists, and 10 groups/duos, chosen by me to compete based on their overall body of work!

Now one thing about these artists is during the first round they will require two saves in order to advance. After the first round they will only need the same as any other artist.

They will be revealed over the next 6 days before the contest starts! Hope you like my picks!
