I just googled it and ... yes, Communards (Jimmy Somerville's group) remade this song and scored a UK #1 and a big dance hit in the early 90's. You can find Communards version on itunes. It is an awsome song! ... And I love Thelma's original version. Which one is your favorite from these new mixes?!

You were right ... these are great mixes! I just got the 3am Mix & Dub and they are KILLER! I also have a "Junior Vasquez" mix of the song for those who wonna hear it! ^^^ I like that full version of the 3am Mix too. I like how it sounds like an updated version of the original and not just an overproduced crap track the way some updates of old songs are.
