I discovered this a few years ago when Josie did a brand new version. It was released in 2010 and 2011 and it had new remixes with new vocals. The original is so cute and funny. When they were announcing the new version, they were asking if the people wanted the word "queer" changed to "gay". They ultimately kept it the same as the original. Josie still records and tours.

This song would never last today. It was a bit risqué in the movie Valley Girl and everything was game in the 80's. (If you disagree, watch any John Hughes Brat Pack movie, Last American Virgin or Eddie Murphy Raw).

This song was overrated IMO.
