23. All I Want for Christmas is You (Re-Entry) (ALREADY?! Top 10's almost a guarantee then) Not necessarily - on the 12/19/2016 AIWFCIY debuted at 26. I hoping it will finally hit Top 10! I really wish Billboard would fix the chart dates - it's ridiculous that chart ending 12/4 is dated almost 2 weeks later. I get the old reason for the printed edition, but that just doesn't matter now and certainly not TWO weeks later. The chart date is 12/17/16 actually. There is 11 days between when the charts go online (12/6) and the chart date. 3 more weeks realistically for the Mariah song to move up.

I believe "AIWFCIY" usually tops out around 60 million impressions when Christmas hits, all of which will count this year for that chart week. Let's say it can sell 35-40k that week as well. What would its streaming then need to be to challenge for the top 10 under current numbers?

My point is the chart is actually for the week ending Dec. 4 (data collected Nov. 28-Dec. 4), but is dated 12/17/16 - that is completely illogical and makes no sense, but I'm used to Billboard 'logic.' It's even more nonsense since Billboard has 'its year' from 12/1-11/30, but that's really collecting data starting in mid-November. But I digress. Fingers crossed for Top 10

I understand that the two weeks in advance chart date is for publishing purposes but now that everything's online maybe Billboard could adjust the dates

Don't think such an adjustment is in the foreseeable future unfortunately.

What exactly happen to High By The Beach actually? I'm clueless I think that week Billboard accidentally wrote one wrong digit so mistakenly put High By The Beach at #7 instead of #57. They even posted the article but they soon realized their mistake so they posted the charts a week late so yeah... some ppl got kinda mad about that and felt BB kinda cheated the song and gave everyone false hope lmao

I thought was happened with High By the Beach was that Nielsen reported the wrong sales for HBTB to BB, causing Billboard having it debut at #7. Then Nielsen and BB realized that the sales were wrong that had to retract the original debut and change it. It actually debuted at #51 in the end.
Yeah. Nielsen originally reported 248,000 sales for HBTB, only to realize later that it was a glitch and it actually only sold 67,000 that week.

It was definitely an error caused by the data reported by Nielsen.

You Was Right stayed on the chart in its 21st week without a bullet, I'm assuming because of all The Weeknd song, or it lost a minuscule amount of points.
And speaking of bullets, only 13 songs below the top 20 that were charting last week have a bullet, amazing!

So Pen Pineapple Apple Pen left the Hot 100, was it likely from The Weeknd or from just losing popularity?

Sorry for double post, but this makes no sense, if The Weeknd didn't release or if he wasn't as impactful I bet they're would've bulleted.

And speaking of bullets, only 13 songs below the top 20 that were charting last week have a bullet, amazing! This was explained to me by Gary Trust a while (I think it was the week Head Over Boots dropped 7 positions past 20 weeks under top 50): even if a song gains points, it won't be awarded a bullet if it falls enough positions (threshold's something like 3 or 5). This means You Was Right and Come & See Me did gain in points this week along with a bunch of other songs. It's just not reflected due to the Weeknd debuts pushing everything back so far that that rule applies.

There's The Voice performances invasion on iTunes but the highest non-Voice song is Bad Things. Potential Hot 100 #1 contender?

www.yahoo.com/music/chart-watch-all-18-songs-from-the-weeknds-starboy-blast-into-the-hot-100-214758977.htmlChart Watch: All 18 Songs From The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ Blast Into the Hot 100 By Paul Grein Yahoo Music December 5, 2016 Top SongsRae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” (featuring Gucci Mane) tops the Hot 100 for the fourth week in its 12th week on the chart. “Black Beatles” sold 83K copies this week, which puts it at #1 on Top Digital Songs for the fourth straight week. The song logged 42 million U.S. streams this week. “Black Beatles” also holds at #2 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart. It was kept from the top spot by Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye,” which is in its fourth week on top. The Weeknd’s “Starboy” (featuring Daft Punk) moves up from #3 to #2 in its 11th week. This is its sixth non-consecutive week at #2. The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” (featuring Halsey) dips from #2 to #3 in its 18th week. The song logged 12 weeks at #1. “Closer” tops the 2 million mark in digital sales this week. Ariana Grande’s “Side to Side” (featuring Nicki Minaj) rebounds from #6 to #4 in its 14th week. This equals its highest ranking to date. Bruno Mars’s “24K Magic,” the first single from Mars’s album of the same name, dips from #4 to #5 its eighth week. The first two singles from each of Mars’s first two studio albums reached #1. “24K Magic” isn’t moving in the right direction. The single’s party sound may have been too reminiscent of “Uptown Funk,” the Mark Ronson smash that featured Mars. “24K Magic” is fun, but there was no element of surprise, as there was with “Just the Way You Are” and “Locked out of Heaven,” the lead singles from Mars’s previous studio albums. “Juju on That Beat (TZ Anthem)” by Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion dips from #5 to #6 in its 10th week. DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” (featuring Justin Bieber) rebounds from #8 to #7 in its 17th week. The song reached #4. Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know” (featuring Kendrick Lamar) jumps from #10 to #8 its eighth week. This is its highest ranking to date. twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” drops from #7 to #9 in its 24th week. The song spent four weeks at #2. D.R.A.M.’s “Broccoli” (featuring Lil Yachty) dips from #9 to #10 in its 25th week. The song reached #5. Hailee Steinfeld has both a song and a movie in the top 15 for the second third straight week. Her movie, The Edge of Seventeen (excellent, by the way), has ranked in the top 15 at the box-office in each of its first three weekends. (This week it drops from #10 to #12). Her single, “Starving,” has ranked in the top 15 on the Hot 100 for the past three weeks. (This week it jumps from #13 to #12 in its 18th week.) “Starving” is a collabo with the brother duo Grey which features EDM star Zedd. “Bad Things” by Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello surges from #28 to #17 in its fifth week. This is Cabello’s second top 20 hit under her own name, following “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” a collabo with Shawn Mendes. Cabello, 19, has also had two top 20 hits as a member of Fifth Harmony. Mariah Carey’s 1994 holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” re-enters the Hot 100 at #23. The song has sold 3,208,000 digital copies, the most of any Christmas song. Want to know the last non-holiday Carey song to rank this high on the Hot 100? That would be “#Beautiful” (featuring Miguel), which rose to #15 in the spring of 2013.
