After my first full listen, my early standouts are: Hollywoods Bleeding Take what you want Wow Enemies Die for me
Overall i think this is solid but nothing amazing. His solo tracks sound like filler stuff, and tbh the filler on BB&Bwas better. Interesting that he chose a lighter, more poppy vibe for this album, but as someone has said, the album takes too many different directions( pop, rnb, alt-pop, hip hop) but the execution is just okay. Very solid, i'll be happy with 500+ SPS numbers, but this is a step down

Eventhough I absolutely love most of the songs, the album gave me a headache after I finished my first listen. The production is overbearing at times and I wish some songs were a little more stripped down and country leaning because I think he'd slay that genre. His voice though.. . ugh what a GIFTED person he is. I know he said he uses a lot of autotune but his vocals sound untouched to me.
PS. How the fuck do you have HALSEY on your song yet you choose to give FUTURE a solo chorus to sing??? That was by far the biggest letdown on the album.

hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=317837&title=HOORAY-FOR-HOLLYWOOD%27S-BLEEDINGSaturday, September 7, 2019 NEW RELEASE:HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD'S BLEEDING Post Malone’s third album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, will debut at #1 and become the second-biggest opening thus far in 2019. The inclusion of smashes "Sunflower" and "Wow." will propel the total activity for the album to about 1.7 million after its first full week. Post helps Republic claim the Top 4 debuts YTD, along with Taylor Swift (867k), Jonas Brothers (414k) and Ariana Grande (360k). Here’s how it looks today. Post Malone (Republic) 450-500k total activity, 190-215k album.

After 1 listen seems to me that the singles are the best songs on the album.
On a side note, it is very wrong to count Sunflower for this album on RIAA activity as it was first released on Spider-Man soundtrack.

IMO, if the units have counted for certification for one work, they shouldn't be allowed to double count. I don't know that the RIAA has certified the Spiderman soundtrack though

I don't know either tbf, I just noticed the "the total activity for the album to about 1.7 million after its first full week", which is obviously false because half of that amount belongs to Spider-Man.

I mean what would stop an artist from releasing albums with their one massive single tacked on ad infinitum to make it look like their RTD is higher for certifications?

I'm a little shocked that the numbers are steady-ish from his last album. He feels like a much bigger deal compared to the start of b&b.
Obviously still terrific numbers on it's own, and it's gonna have killer legs anyways.

The dumb s**t I put myself through just to hear a Post Malone album, my LORD! Ordered the CD from Amazon on Tuesday for 2-day delivery. It came with a free digital download, which I refused to listen to, because I wanted to open the CD, look at the booklet, and upload the CD to iTunes, which is my old-fashioned custom. Don't @ me. Anyway, I got a message while in my apartment that I missed the delivery because there there was no secure place to put it. Lies. We have package lockers and Amazon is in and out of those those bad boys DAILY. I get Amazon s**t at least once a month and never have a problem. So, I called them and they told me they would deliver it to my building management's office and also CALL me when it was there. Nothing. Finally, I call back at 9:30 and they tell me that it's too late for it to come tonight and it will come tomorrow. I told them I want a refund. I also got a $5 credit. Oh...and I almost lost this post, LOL. Anyway, GREAT album, because of tracks 1-!4. All of those can stay, because they show him at his various, diverse strengths. He completely flounders on the songs I put as bonus tracks/rejects and one of them just had s**tty features and what I have heard him do so many times before. On the strength of the first fourteen alone, I give this an A-. Wait, he missed the Grammy cutoff, didn't he? Is Sunflower eligible? It better win.
1. Sunflower (this song has actually made me cry. it's just so...beautiful. This is what made me want to buy a Post Malone album. Still the star on an album full of them. Also, I think they enhanced the production on the album version. It has a little extra oomph to it and I am noticing details more clearly. This song is a classic, honestly. Also, I just noticed...there is NO goaty throat on this song, so clearly he is doing it as a trademark. I'm cool with that. Hey, it made me take notice LOL) 2. Internet (SHOULD. HAVE. BEEN. LONGER. Wow.) 3. Take What You Want (Listen, y'all...that guitar solo TOOK. ME. OUT. We need more of that in music. LordT!) 4. I'm Gonna Be (WHAT. A. MOOD) 5. Wow. 6. Staring At The Sun (single, obviously...SZA hasn't been on a song since the song with Kendrick, right?) 7. Saint-Tropez 8. Goodbyes 9. Die For Me 10. Enemies 11. Circles 12. Allergic 13. Hollywood's Bleeding 14. A Thousand Bad Times
Bonus Tracks & Rejects: 15. I Know 16. On The Road (the features are not good and drag down the song) 17. Myself (I don't really like this sound for him. I get he's diverse, but this is like...bad nostalgia? Also, the cavernous reverb does not fit this song)

This is god-awful. Easily his worst album. Barely 4 listenable songs. Most of it is unlistenable and bland pop, rock, emo punk sounding shit.
If the next album if anything like this, I'm out!

OK, so I now move I Know up to #11. It really grew on me. Myself is also really sweet, so I move it above On The Road. I don't dislike it at all. This album is a masterpiece, honestly.

#10 artist of the decade for Billboard, above longer active pop girls Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.

King of the Hot 100
On another note, how do we think this era will continue? I don't know how clever it was to send three different songs to three different formats at the same time Circles was happening lol Are we gonna let them die out (bcs the biggest bet TWYW seems to be stalling), then send another song (Hollywood's Bleeding please) or start the next one?

I think now that Circles has peaked they should go all in on TWYW. If they don't have something new out in the first month or two of the year, they should make DFM the final single.

I find it surprising that Posty's artist thread is so dead, especially given the popularity of "Circles" and "Take What You Want" on this forum (and rightfully so, dahling 💕).
Anyway, do you think his team has any plans for an upcoming single, or are they moving on to the next era? I don't think they were expecting "Circles" to have such great longevity, especially on radio of all things.
