Y'all really need to dig deeper into her country stuff. Fifteen is an INCREDIBLE lyric, and she gives a powerful live rendition of it. Very, very sad it can't even make the top 20 here, especially against lesser songs. (Especially like my #38 song, which I am hoping is the one that chicken is referring too.) agreed. while I do like her pop stuff generally more (since I'm a pop guy), I'm impressed by a lot of her country hits and ranked quite a bit of them in my top 10 given that I'm a pop guy (though I have gotten into country a bit recently with Kelsea Ballerini). You guys will see from my higher rankings when they get revealed. But of the songs out, many are absolute jams (though I didn't rank some of them that high... because I like all of her songs!) and unless you guys despise country, go check it out! if you didn't listen to that whole Taylor playlist I complied, you really shouldn't have sent me the rankings, cause it kinda skews the results based on the popular hits and ignoring the peripheral tunes that may be awesome. But I couldn't force you to listen to everything, so oh well lol. Hopefully that didn't offend anyone... and sorry if it did...

Bit of a spoiler, I know, but I hope the country fans are consoled knowing that I ranked "Begin Again" and "Tim McGraw" at approximately my top 1/3 of these rankings...

What the hell you guys :( "White Horse", "Fifteen" & "Safe & Sound" are amazing. Same with "The Story Of Us" I just couldn't rank it higher than that

A looooooooooot of people around here tonight really need to calm their tits... Haha I don't think I've seen this many people triggered at once since Trump won Pennsylvania! Lol yep... I understand Leo though... On this rankdown AND on the 2014 YE rankdown, he lost many of his higher songs but hasn't seen his hated songs out yet... I mean one rankdown is fine but two... lol that's why I gave him that spoiler to cheer him up A bit off topic but this is probably the largest group-trigger I've seen since the day our psychology final project was due... Just to tell all of you guys a funny(ish) story of that trigger fest to calm things down: So during finals week 1 (two weeks ago), since my psychology final was on week 2, we had a review presentation to give to the class. We have to give like this practice AP style question to everyone in which we have to print, but there was some misunderstanding about who's printing what and when we're presenting. We were supposed to present on Friday, but our teacher sent us an incorrect email saying we had to present Wednesday (it was a mistake lol). But I had to leave school early for my physics final (since I take physics at a local college). So during lunch, they had a huge panic fest in which they apparently used up all their printer money to print like 30 copies of a practice AP style question. I wasn't there to witness it, but apparently they were dissing each other throughout lunch and in the end they all started dissing me because I was supposed to print the 30 copies When I got home that day, I didn't even know they already printed 30 copies, but when I logged on to the AP rubric, I found that one of my group members COMPLETELY finessed... like he didn't even follow the directions. So basically I had to do it all that night. When I got to school on Thursday, my group members told me we had to present on that day and I was like WTF aren't we supposed to present on Friday?! I didn't print anything!! They told me not to worry because they wasted all their money to print 30 copies the previous day. But then I was like oh f**k didn't you guys see that the rubric was so bs??? So they threw everything away and I had to reprint the rubric (wasting all my printer money in the process). In addition, my group members were supposed to finish another part of the project but apparently they didn't so while the printing thing was going, I had to help them with the other part as well. (not to mention that the printer malfunctioned for 10 minutes before I finally got it to print). So 10 minutes before lunch ended after a huge panic fest and with pretty much everyone in our area triggered because we were yelling so much (in addition to the tutors), I was like, hey, where's the practice AP question we're giving the students? We only have the rubric printed... And they were like I THOUGHT YOU CHANGED IT AND PRINTED IT. And I was like NO I ONLY CHANGED THE RUBRIC!! THE ORIGINAL QUESTION WAS FINE!!! And they were like oh f*** we threw it away. (also, I was playing the 2016 YE DZ in the process of this whole group trigger so yeah...). And after that I was like omg wtf are you guys doing you guys are only supposed to throw away the rubric and yeah... it was a mess after that and I don't even know what happened, but when we got to class, the teacher told us that she made a mistake yet again and that we were after all presenting on Friday... So that entire trigger fest turned out to be useless, and we all got triggered again after class because the three of us (we have a fourth group member but she did her own part on the project... kudos to her, not being involved in trigger fests) wasted all our printer money for the school year for nothing That instance, the instance on the personal chart where I lost my chart analysis, a few instances on the 2016 DZ, as well as Leo on the rankdowns (actually a lot of ppl lol) are the biggest triggers I've seen in recent days haha Hopefully y'all calmed down after reading that story

I'm pretty sure it's not my #2 that's next, since it seems to be a song that's pretty well liked by Taylor stans as well as other people, but who knows lol; I guess we'll find out soon...

My personal life in itself is a trigger so... Luckily this rankdown hasn't triggered me though. The 2016 DZ was a very frustrating game though for me. One of my least favorite songs was so close to getting out so many times, but took forever to leave. That post Leo made last page with the picture probably describes how I was feeling back then, as well as it describes how I feel about my personal life.

(Taylor is known for her awesome bridges, but oh well lol) I'm not calling out anyone, I guess I'm just reminding everyone that for future rankdowns, although we can't enforce the rule, it'll be best for everyone if we listen to all the songs, at least snippets, before submitting answers...

Totally understand you man... that 2016 DZ really got me frustrated especially when everyone helping me leaves (it happened a few times throughout the game) and I had to save the three Daya songs, Wildest Dreams, and Starving all by myself... and that least favorite song thing happened quite a bit as well (I wonder if we're talking about the same song ) It also sucked that during many instances, my parents called me out and I couldn't use my phone and all... and that happened a lot during the final rounds - I think that cost me Sit Still, Look Pretty in the end. And life... yeah u guys probably already know from all the posting I've done on Pulse, so I'm not going to go into much detail. Leo ✔ , that pic is gold.

How I felt when Work was saved to eliminate Hymn for the Weekend in that game and then survived like 15 more rounds (thankfully someone blundered and as a result it got out instead of making top 20). I actually like HFTW a lot so that added to my frustration. You may be surprised at how high I have HFTW on my 2016 rankdown since I ranked based on merit rather than how it flopped performed on my chart...we'll see how that one goes

Though Wildest did kinda get cheated out since ppl save based on what's still in, I'm just happy Work got out... cause otherwise I'm pretty sure it would've survived until like triples stage.

Eh, I honestly wasn't unhappy with WD being out since it was like 30 which imo is high enough for a song that peaked in the previous year Speaking of WD, that one would maybe win if not for one particular person lol (me, you the person themselves and a couple others know who this is) ugh

Thanks for the sacrifice Taylor haha ). It also released some burden off of me with one less song to save

"Speak Now" - First listen of this song, and it is quite solid! I think the overall premise is strong, with the narrator being somebody speaking up during the infamous "Speak now or forever hold your peace" moment at a wedding. Talk about scandalous! It is a moment ripe for a song, and Taylor delivers. The melody is a little bit repetitive but still good, and that was actually a very good live performance too, so I can't find much to complain about.
"Mean" - YAAAASSSS, it brings me sick pleasure to see this song come in so low! First of all, I will say that the overall message behind the song is very important. I love how the video goes in the direction of inspiring that little girl who is being excluded. And it is a super catchy song. But overall it is TOO simplified, to the point where the lyrics sound corny and childish and the melody becomes unlistenable after the song has been on power rotation for flipping ever... Talk about overplay killing a song. And then to rub salt in the wound, add insult to injury, or whatever else you call it, THIS SONG WON TAYLOR A GRAMMY!! You wanna know who else was up for a Grammy in that category? Martina McBride, with the most Grammy-worthy song of 2012... #robbed!!!!!! (Yes, I am a bitter fan ;) Lol)
"Ours" - A very strong song! I had heard it before, but never paid much attention to it. The lyrics are awesome, and the melody is strong. It sounds overall less repetitive than Taylor's normal songwriting. This would have ranked very high on my list if I had had time to listen to all the songs before the deadline.
"Fearless" - I don't really remember this song from when it was a hit, although I MUST have heard it at least once. I LOVE the "Yeah" after the first verse for some reason. Otherwise, the song is super boring. There is not really anything to dislike about it, but there isn't anything to love either. Middle-of-the-road for me.
"Our Song" - Such a good song. Other than my usual complaints about her early vocal performances and production, I don't have anything bad to say about this song other than it was super overplayed back in the day. I guess I also hate how she sings the 3rd chorus with that teenage girl twang. But through the whole song the melody is awesome and the lyrics are solid. Listening to it again now it is still a superb song! Sung by somebody like Sara Evans it could have been even better, but Taylor does this one justice :)
"Safe & Sound" - My first time hearing this song. It is very good! I am a little shocked right now that I liked it so much, because this is not the type of song that really lends itself to Taylor's voice very well, and yet she totally pulled it off and sounded great. I would have probably LOVED the song if someone like Celine Dion had sung it, but Taylor definitely does better than I expected she would! The inclusion of The Civil Wars is perfect as well. Such an underrated duo.
"White Horse" - Amazing song! Definitely right up there with "Ours" for me so far in terms of favorites. It would have finished much higher had I gotten my votes in :( Deserved to be top 20, for sure.
"The Story Of Us" - Literally never even heard of this song before, but it is such a JAM! Taylor sings her heart out and really sounds great, especially towards the end of the song. Definitely will be giving this one some repeat listens!
"Fifteen" - Wow, this song is so much better than I remember it being when it was on the radio! Tackles a childish topic (high school love) in a very mature way. It warns teenagers to be careful without illegitimizing the things that they are feeling. A very mature song, and stellar vocal performance from Taylor. Definitely would have ranked high on my list!

Welcome back! Today, after a not so good day for me at the 2014 YE rankdown (again, apologize if I was rude or anything), I'm here to announce the #20 to #16 positions for this rankdown! Let's get started! Recap from yesterday's teaser:
Next up: the #20 song has not the highest standard deviation, but still a damn high value. High enough so that when I was entering the points for everybody one by one, I had NO IDEA where this will end up. I think this has reached top 10 AND bottom 10 in the process of entering in points... Three people lose a bottom 10, with one losing a #38 (will Leo lose Bad Blood?). Meanwhile, four people lose a top 10, with the highest being a #2 loss.

The next two songs are VERY similar: very high standard deviations (3rd highest and 4th highest in the entire game I believe), and in both rounds, a player loses a #1 and another player loses a #38 (actually, two players lose a #38 for one of these songs)!
The first of these songs: Our second player to lose a number one in the entire game, and another player loses a number two. In total, four players lose a top 10. On the other end, one player loses a #38, one loses a #37, and four in total lose a bottom 10.

So I was organizing the results, and I saw that one member's bottom 3 were identical to another member's top 3! And in that order as well! Like one member's #38 is another's #1! That member's #37 is the other's #2! And #36 is the other's #3! Sadly, the trend stops there... You guys will see what it is :) Due to some personal matters, I will likely start the result reveal tomorrow morning :) So I guess I am the guy with the 36 37 38. everyone has lost their bottom 3 so far but me. Now I wonder who the 1 2 and 3 is. I figure I already know who it is. Wait a min it could still be Leo with the 36 37 38 and indulge with the 1 2 and 3. But Idk, I think indulge lost his 3 if Im not wrong. So yea, its not Leo and Indulge. Its me and the other person, who Im sure I know who it is.

Next up! As stated earlier, another high standard deviation song coming up! "Tim McGraw" had the 3rd highest deviation in the whole game and this next song has the fourth! With this song's exit, a third player loses their #1! Four players (again) in total lose a top 10. Meanwhile, there are only two players with a #38 still left in the game, and both players lose that #38 here. Other than the two, only one other player lose a bottom 10.
