We have a great chart this week. First; we have "Rats"  holding strong at #1 for a third week, and don't hold your breath, because this one isn't going down, anytime soon. It just sounds better and better with each listen. This is exactly the same feeling I got with "Kill For Candy" and "Molecules", and my favorite song from the last 5 years from the Freeweights, called "Livin' In A Studio". It's the type of song that I need to listen to 3 times in a row every time it comes around. Carly Rae Jepsen hits my top 10 for the fourth time. So far ,she has scored with ,"Call Me Maybe"#6. "Good Time" #10. "Boy Problems" #2. and now "Higher", which is sure to climb higher... in the weeks to come. "Feel The Heat", "Sail Away", "Lash Out", and "Dreamstealer", continue to set the chart on fire, but the biggest leap goes to Guns N' Roses , for the re recorded, Hollywood Rose; song,  "Shadow Of Your Love". Finally; we have our three debuts. #50, goes to Moving Units - "American Infantile". A very cool Indierock  song with a ;The Hundred Days, vibe. In This Moment scores thier third single on my top 50 with "Black Wedding". They also get a little help from the Metal King; Rob Halford. My highest debut goes to yet another song off "Fly" The Eddie The Eagle sountrack. This one; like Go West's former top 5 smash, was also recorded in the 2010's, with the idea of sounding like a song from the 80's, and ABC did a remarkable job, recapturing that New Romantic sound ,with "Living INside My Heart". I think this might end up, become one of my favorite ;ABC songs ever. A few vids and new single covers will add to your viewing pleasure highlights, this week. Green = DEBUT. Blue= HOT SONG. HOT List: let's start off this week with the new single from one of my favorite Rock bands from Mexico. The indie rock band, Zoé  has released their 6th studio album and I'm about to start charting songs from it. The first single "Hielo" is amazing. Has that style from The Horrors - "Something To remember Me By", and it's sure to become as big a hit, or even bigger hit on my chart. Continuing the Spanish rock vibe comes, Miss Caffeina latest single "Detroit". This one has that same Indierock vibe as Zoé. This would also be the third time Miss Caffeina scores a hit on my chart. Up next we go to Hard Rock heaven with Breaking Benjamin's second single off "Ember". I'm already considering, "Torn In Two" ,to be my second favorite, song, from the band. Coming only second to ;"Diary Of Jayne". Time will tell? My last add will be a double charter. So far; I've charted three DIAMANTE songs, but for the third I want to chart a powerballad, and "I'm Sorry" has the perfect style I like my Rock ballads to sound like. Only she has recorded the song, in both English and Spanish. It's already epic in English, but I think it fits Spanish even better. She sounds like a young Alejandra Guzman. It's easily one of the best tracks off her debut album.

*Metal Chart: This week's Metal chart finds Salems Lott hanging to #1 for a second week, but the big mover is jumping from #10 to #6. It's the cover song from FOLLOW THE CIPHER. SABAOTON did the original. The difference is the male to female vocals, but Linda Toni Grahn's vocals are so powerful, I might even enjoy the cover more. The two debuts are; one from Parkway Drive; whom I'm charting for the first time ever, with "The Void". The highest debut comes from DIAMANTE. She just released her full length album and a new video for "Haunted" . The song's prior peak was #4 earlier this year. This week she returns at #13.

Ghost, sits on top of the world for another week, bringing "Rats" to a swift month at #1, with what continues to be a song, I listen to at least 2-3 times a day. This week, two of my biggest songs of 2018 slip out of the top 10 after a 30+ week run in the top 50. That means two songs break into the top 10. Both from the Active rock world.  Those would be "Painless" from Fozzy, with his second top 10 hit, and also at #9 come Pretty Boy Floyd, who also score their second top 10 hit with "Feel The Heat". The chart also welcomes two new debuts. First ;is Sumo Cyco with "Undefeated". Sumo Cyco have a style consisting of flavours from Screamo, Poppunk, Metal. They sounds like a chaotic version of early Charli XCX, but with an even hotter lead singer. The highest debut goes to Pale Waves. I'm already charting another single, and Alt charts can';t even debut "There's A Honey" Anyway, I absolutely love; Heather Baron-Gracie, vocals, and I think they shine on "New Years Eve". On a final note, is Guns N' Roses ,shooting up another 10 spots to #22 with, "Shadow Of Your Love". A few sleeves and vids and you guys are set.  Blue means hot song. HOT List: this week I have  four great new songs. All different vibes, including, Metal, Garage Rock, Emo, Synthpop and even a rerelease of an 80's New Wave classic. Kobra and The Lotus starts off with their "Velvet Roses". The song, The Music video and Kobra Paige are all smokin'.  Next we have Fearless Records, bringing back that hot Emo poppunk sound of the 2000's with the band;  As It Is. Thier single; The Stigma [Boys Dont Cry] could easily slot in between songs from My Chemical Romance, AFI, The Used , even old school Thirty Seconds To Mars.  Shouty and catchy was the best part of Emo and this band has just that.  Up next is a rerecorded version of ;A Flock Of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song (With the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra). It's basically the same with some added strings, but they give the song a wonderful boost. Garage Rock is represented next with ,The Beaches, and a single I've seen floating around some pulse members' charts , called "T- Shirt". This one is right up my , female Rock alley. I believe I'm saving the best new song for last here. St. Lucia is back with "Paradise Is Waiting" . The band has two new singles, but this one stood out a bit more, for it's throwback sound to George Michael's "Freedom 90". I love songs that remind me of my past favorites and George Michael is certainly an icon.

Skid Row is one of the Hair Metal that tried their best to stay alive during the early 90's, and for the most part they did keep the Metal vibe alive, despite of John Nirvana crashing the Rock n' Roll party for everyone. "Youth Gone Wild" is the first song I charted from the band. This one was fierce as f**k!

Add another week to Ghost's #1 reign. Two songs break the top 5. Stephen Pearcy's ; "Jamie" and for the first time ever Blue October; who's first top 10 hit ,on my charts , "I Hope You're Happy",has now gone certified gold. Blue October has scored a few hits on my chart before. Songs like, "Say It" and "Into The Ocean" ,have preformed decently on my chart, but never this great. Hopefully, the new album has more songs like this? DIAMANTE; who finally releases her full length album, is scoring her second top 10 with "Had Enough", and once again Highest leap honors, goes to Guns N' Roses for "Shadow Of Your Love". We got two debuts this week. The first is a return song, that fell off my HOT List a few months ago from La Oreja De Van Gogh. This week "Palida Luna" returns witha top 50 debut. The highest debut goes to the male version of Pale Waves.  . HOT List: My first add goes to Pale Waves. I swear I like every song they release even more than the prior one. Their single; "There's A Honey", is just under the top 50 on the Alternative charts. They have so many great songs out now, that I might just have to compile, two of those into a double A-side single, in order to be able to catch up with their material.  The Driver Era - "Preacher Man", is a song I previewed a few months back, when it was first an add on Alternative radio format. I immediately tuned in because of the guitars and "Ooohoohs" in the chorus. It's been struggleing, on actual Alt charts, so I decided to add it, before it completely falls off the charts.  Last , but not least is the great Glam rock band, The Struts. This is another band that hits that bulls eye with me with all their singles, and "Body Talks" is no exception. Great vocals? Check. Catchy chorus with "oohooh's" bonus included? Check. Melodic guitars with groove? Check. Yup, sounds like a future top 10 hit, on this chart?

NEW Metal Chart: One week later and the chart has gone through some big changes. First; we have a new #1 song in the form of Breaking Benjamin's new single; "Torn In Two". This one is also waiting for a slot in the top 50. New to the top 10, is the return of DIAMANTE's "Haunted" single, and due to a hot new MV, the song is rising fast up the chart. Also new to the top 10, is the Swedish Metal band, CRASHDÏET with their new single; "We Are Legion". We have another return song to the top 20. A great one this week. From Also Nova's; 1982 debut album. "Fantasy" was a top 40 hit, on the Hot 100 and a #3 peak on Mainstream Rock. It has that flawless ,guitars and synths sound every hard rock band was chasing in the 80's. The kind of style Ghost uses on songs like; "Rats" and "Square Hammer".

We have a great list this week. Ghost is up to six weeks at #1. Two new songs break into the top 10. First is; Midnite City, bringing on some great AOR, in the style of, Night Ranger, and Damn Yankees, giving the band, The summer of their lives. Guns N' Roses continue to race up the chart with a revamped version of The Hollywood Rose song; "Shadow Of Your Love". The question is? Will the song, hold out ,once it reaches its peak, or will it fizzle out like it has on the Active chart? I'm still very much into the song, but a shot of adrenaline can only last so long...This brings us to out 3 debuts. At #50 we have a song that I should have debuted weeks ago; as it's the type of Indiepop jam with a lot of NRG in the vocals, so let's welcome ;The Driver Era's "Preacher Man". I also hope it holds out a bit longer on the actual Alt chart? at #47, is the first of two debuts acts, with two songs on my chart. It's Echosmith with thier latest Synpop bop; "Over My Head" They are also currently in my top 20 with "Get Into My Car". and saving the best for lasts our highest debut at #35. Once again ;we have a new ;highest debut of 2018 honor. This week it goes to the new; Bad Wolves powerballad "Hear Me Now"; which features my favorite female rocker in the last 20 or so years; DIAMANTE. Another reason this songs gets honors, is because, its debuting in a sure fire slot to be a future #1 song. This is the same slot where, Hinder- "Lips of An Angle", Def Leppard - "Photograph, Ratt - "Round and Round", Alice Cooper "Poison",and Demi Lovato - "Neon Lights"; first made an appearance in my top 50. Needless to say, those songs were all #1, on my chart, for 5 weeks or more. A few music videos and sleeve arts will round out this week's chart highlights. Green = Debut. Blue= Hot song. HOT List: .This weeks three adds come from different parts of the world. Indochine is a French, 80's New Wave band I discovered while we were in France. They have a perfect New Wave vibe reminding me a lot of Rock en Espanol. Their thirteenth studio album, is aptly titled; "13" and the first track that gets my attention is the song "2033" The next band ;is the Spanish rock band originating from Barcelona. El Ultimo Vecino's influences include; The Cure, Fobia,, and also have a bit of a DREAMCAR vibe. They have a brand new E.P. just out this year called "Parte Primera"; which I should be getting in a few weeks. The first single is called "Donde Estás Ahora" but since I'm super excited and can't wait, I decided to chart, The third single off 2016's "Voces", called,"La Noche Interminable". For my third add I go to the only place I can find perfect Pop Music. Korea. K-Pop knows exactly what I crave in Pop music. Catchiness, loudness and fun, and a little 80's vibe, never hurts. I found all this in the brand new AOA single ;"Bingle Bangle" I don't have the slightest idea what the song is about nor do I speak Korean, but damn, does it sound like fun. This song should be just as huge as, "Love City", "As If It's Your Last", High Heals" and "Someone like U" were on my chart.

A lot of excitement this week comes from just three songs going recurrent. First; I decided to use this week, as the week ,songs, catch up to some of the actual Mediabase and Billboard positions. Some of these songs include. "Lash Out", "Broken Heart", "Hear Me Now", "Shadow Of Your Love", and "Velvet Roses". "Rats" spends its 13th week on the chart. Same amount as the actual rock charts, except that on my chart it's been at #1 for seven weeks now. My favorite song this week is the Driver Era's "Preacher Man", which leaps 29 notches to #21. I guess praying does work? Dreamcar spends their 40th week on the chart with their surprise hit on my charts, called "Slip On The Moon". Which brings us ,to our 3 debuts. The highest goes to "Velvet Roses" from Kobra and The Lotus. A high octane rocker; which could prove even bigger than "Light Me Up"? The second highest debut goes to "La Noche Interminable" from El Ultimo Vecino, and at #50 are Hall & Oates together with Train singing "Philly, Forget Me Not". HOT LIST:  This weeks adds, feature some great female vocals. The Interrupters are a punk ska band enjoying their first hit on the current Alternative charts. This one is full of NRG and is sure to get next week's highest debut on my charts? Next we got Metric's new song. Is it an ode to Black Sabbath? Whatever the message behind the song might be, it is one of the best songs I have heard from the band. An early add and download, should get the song on the top 50 real soon? last but not least, is the female rocker who has set my chart on fire. *New Music Metal Chart: "Torn In Two" hangs on to #1 for a third week. "Uncomfortable" is the only new song in the top 10, and we have three new debuts. The highest goes to another song of Ghost's latest album. This one also has, an 80's flair to it ,reminding a bit of Scorpions and Kiss. Coming in at #18 is another track of Armored Dawn's 'Barbarians In Black'. Say hello to "Eyes Behind The Crow". And last but not least is the current top 10 hit by Dorothy called "Flawless". This one has slowly been creeping up the chart, but I'm really starting to dig on that Classioc Rock vibe.

I'm a bit late for the LODVG party, but I really started getting into that song. My love for female vocals is in full gear this week.

Let's get right into the action. "Rats" is #1 for two months straight. While Simple Minds, tumble to #5, Stephen Pearcy and Guns N' Roses move up closer to the #1 slot. Can Ghost, hold off ,two ;Rock icons for a few more weeks? We also welcome Kim Wilde into the top 10 with her latest single, "Pop, Don't Stop". "Preacher Man" Continues to shoot up the chart and leads our traditionalSummer Slaughter 6 . Those are songs with the (SS) next to them. The other five songs include ,three that have been taking off at a steady rate, since the debuted. Those are "Palida Luna" from LODVG, , Bad Wolves and DIAMANTE - "Hear Me Now", and Kobra and The Lotus - "Velvet Roses". The last two Summer Slaughters of the week, are ;the two big debuts of the week from Dorothy -  "Flawless"- a song , that has grown to become my favorite from the band, and new comers; The Interrupters with a mega ska punk tune called "She's Kerosene". 'Summer Slaughter' #6, will be revealed in one of next week's debuts.  The last debut of the week, comes from Cheap Trick with a new song called "The Summer Looks Good On You". HOT List: This week I'm taking all us back to the 80's with a couple of new/old(2016) Synthpop songs that blew me away. The first is from  World Radio. Their style reminds me a bit of Free Weights. Perfect 80's sounds and vocals. Very much, the aspects I loved about "Livin' In A Studio". With that in mind; watch out for  "Love Me Not", in the weeks to come. The next add is from a band who already had a huge top 5 hit on my weekly 50. Ice Choir  are back with "Amorous In Your Absence". Did I just take evreyone back to 1986?  My last add is also from a 2016 album. I charted 5 songs from AFI's last album, with "Snow Cats" becoming one of my all time favorite songs from the band. I always knew I would come back to this , very Cure, sounding track called " Above The Bridge", so better late than never right? Finally; Next week I will unvail the next track I will chart from DREAMCAR's debut album, because I'm not close to being done, with that album yet.

The last week of July gives, Ghost their ninth week at #1. Both Stephen Pearcy and Guns n' Roses hold down the #2, and #3 positions, but Follow The Cipher makes a strong stride into the top 5, making them the next contenders for #1 action. We also have two new songs cracking this week's top 10. First; is, Echosmith who are no strangers to the top 10, with "Get Into My Car", and we also welcome ,The Brazilian based ,Metal band; Armored Dawn with their new single "Sail Away". The two debuts this week are Breaking Benjamin - "Torn In Two"; which is also ,the #1 song on my Metal chart, and at #50, Twin Ritual, debuts with "Angry". This song has a strong Rock en Espanol vibe, and should do just fine on my top 50. This week's Spotlight Artist, is KITTEN with their fast rising upbeat song, "I Did It". This week, the song leaps 5 notches from 24 to 19. Back in 2011 they scored big when "Chinatown" peaked at #12. Could this song be their first future top 10? Stay tuned. HOT List: My first add this week was a already a modest charting song on AAA. I decided to add it to the HOT List, because I've been playing it a lot this week. So let's welcome "Think It Over" from Wild Child. Moving right along we meet up with the lastest single from Tom Petty. & The Heartbreakers. This one is from "An American Treasure", but I believe it was written during the "Hard Promises" era.  Either Way; "Keep A Little Soul" sounds very 80's. This one is also set to slay on the AAA chart. My last add is from newcomers; Wallows with a song called "Pictures of Girls". This one has a lot of Spanish Rock vibe. They sound a bit, like Ultimo Vecino ,and other bands I'm charting.

Great to see Echosmith on top 10 and Alice Merton on top 20!

The first you notice, is that I have added 10 extra slots to my top 50, making it a top 60. I've also decided to do this on my B-day week, because...why not? I've had a top 50 since 1999, so it's about time to add a few more slots. Songs will still go recurrent if they slip out of the 50. You won't see songs hanging on for life in the 51-60 slots. Those are reserved for Metal crossovers or songs that have been in my HOT LIST for a while. In other news; "Rats" is at #1 for a whopping tenth week. No new songs in the top 10, but "Flawless" rockets up to #14 in its Third week on the chart. Aside from the ten new slots, we have three, official debuts in the top 50. Interpol is back with "The Rover". The last time I charted Interpol was back in 2015 with "Everything Is Wrong". At #46 is my favorite new band of 2018 and this week's Music Video spotlight band; Pale Waves is back with  single #3 on my chart. This one is the one currently on Alt's chart called "There's A Honey". I'm also charting a second; Pale Waves song called "New Year's Eve". Finally; the highest debut goes to K-Pop band; AOA.  They have a new single out, called "Bingle Bangle". Don't ask me what its about, but it's pretty damn catchy and my new guilty, and I mean, guilty pleasure. of the week. A few vids and fan made sleeves will round out this week's chart highlights. HOT List: . . Starting off this week with Panic! At The Disco's, current chart topping hit; "Saturday Night (Say Amen)". took me a while to get use to all those weird effects, and I'm not promising a big anything, but I did give it a few spins. Enough to get it into the HOT LIST status.  My second add; is a song I had no problem getting into. It's a new Metal Power ballad from the 80's band W.A.S.P. "Hold On To My Heart" is getting a re release. Infact; the whole album; "Crimson Idol" is back for a second go around, as is doing great on the untapped, online Rock and Metal charts.  This is the original 1992 music video. My last add, is from my spotlight band of the week; Pale Waves. Seems like I'm enjoying every other single more than the last. They just released , the single "Noises", and I could very soon, be charting three Pale Waves; songs  at a time. Their songs are always ultra catchy, and melodic, and always feature ;the royal; Guitar Solo; which to me ,is the icing on the cake in a song.

This week; we finally have a new #1 song as ex Ratt vocalist Steven Pearcy knocks "Ghost" from its pedestal. Kinda ironic; for a singer, from a band called ; Ratt to knock down a song called "Rats" from the top, but here you have it. At the same time; we have ,both Dorothy and Alice Merton ,cracking the top 10 and ready to cause some havok on the chart. The MV spotlight goes to, Five Finger Death Punch, who make an impressive jump into my top 30 with "Sham Pain". I agree with craziaskowboi . Those sirens sound hot. Especially in the gym. The 3 debuts are three songs stepping up from the 51-60 slots, but the biggest debut comes from, chart sensations; The Struts with their new single "Body Talks". In the 51-60 slots we have new sizzleing music from Tom Petty, Mexican Indierockers; Zoe, A hot new Indiepop song from Panda Cult ,and Panic! At The Disco, manage to squeeze in their new song at #60. We got a great list this week. Stephen Pearcy (ex RATT vocalist) hangs on to the #1 song for a second week in a row. Armored Dawn breaks into the top 5 and , New artist; The Driver Era ,score their very first Top 10 hit, with "Preacher Man". Cracking the top 50 are three acts on the move. The highest comes from Halestorm, and their aggressive rocker; "Uncomfortable". More female fronted rock comes in at #49. It's the first top 50 hit for, The Beaches with their new single; "T-Shirt". The closest they came to my top 50 was back in 2013 when they peaked at #62 with "Absolutley Nothing". Last, but not least ,is 80's icon ;Samantha Fox with "Hot Boy". Samantha Fox, scored a handful of hits on my charts throughout the 80's, including "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" which became my #1 song of 1986. Elsewhere in the 51-60's slots; we say hello to "Bubble Gum", "What I Won't Do" and Young The Giant's quick entry; "Simplify" That song should be Top 50 by next week. HOT List: Greta Van Fleet returns with another new single called "When The Curtain Falls". It's currently the #1 song on my Metal Chart. This band doesn't only have the sound, but they also have the look. 100% Rock N' Roll.  "Goodbye baby". George Ezra; might just score his first hit on my chart? I've had "Paradise" on my mind for a few months, but I think seeing it on the 2018 Summer madness,Tournament has finally convinced me, that it's a bop. Next we have Indeirock band; DWN TWN. Earlier this year, I charted "Bloodshot Eyes". This week I've decided to add the track "Lonely" to my HOT List.  My last add is from the Emo/Metal female fronted band; Seven Day Sleep, and their single; "Red Lipstick Murders". Don't know much about the band, but judging by the ;foreign, youtube comments, I' thought they might be  European? As it turns out; they are an L.a Based band, with some Turkish Elements.

HOT List: . .My first add, this week, comes from iconic; Steve Perry. After years of falling to oblivion, he is back with a brand new solo album called 'Traces'. The first single is called "No Erasin'", and he sounds better than most 80's idols who have remained in the limelight. Proof, that taking a break works.  For my next add we go to the Japanese Indie Metal band;  Band- Maid. This time they are rolling the "Dice" , and betting on getting another top song on my chart. This week I'm posting ,a live version of the song. One word. FIERCE! last but not least, is the Indie Spanish Rock band ; Abominables.  "Crimen" has been sitting in my mps files for about a year, but with a new live footage MV, I think its time I set it lose. The style is a bit 80's new wave with a bit of electronica, but the good kind.

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

This last week of August brings an; especially exciting chart. Not one, not three, but five new songs come crashing the chart. I'll get to those later, but first, we have a brand new #1 song in the form of "The Rising" from FOLLOW THE CIPHER. "The Rising" is a symphonic Metal song, that first hit my Metal chart 4 months. It quickly cruised into my top 50 and has made its way up to #1. If you love powerful, glass shattering vocals ,over a symphonic Metal production, then this is your song. Now for the debuts. Coming in at #60 is the female lead, powerpop/emo band; Seven Day Sleep with thier single "Red Lipstick Murders". At #58 is the Canadian Monowhales with "Take It Back". At #56 is a really special debut from ex Journey man; Steve Perry. He is back in the music scene, new album and new smokin' single called "No Erasin'". Abominables are back with another of last week's HOT List adds, called "Crimen". Finally debuting in the actual top 50 is a late entry from George Ezra called "Paradise". Else where in top 50 are two of my favorite,Indie Spanish rock bands. First, is Miss Caffeina with the title track off "Detroit' and jumping from #51 to #44 is Zoe with the first single off; Aztlan' called "Hielo". New cover art and a boatload of music videos will round out this week's chart highlights. Green means DEbut song. Blue means hot song, and () means the song's highest peak to date.

Great to see Palida Luna and She's Kerosene inside top 20!

We have a great chart this week. The action starts off with a brand new #1 song from the first ever ;Brazilian Metal band ,charting on my top 50. Armored Dawn take that honer with the Powerballad "Sail Away". This week's top 5, continues to be dominated by hard rock, but a strong wave of Indie rock music is making it's way into the top 5 and we could see a nice face off between the two genres, as early as next week. We also got 4 debuts on the chart. The highest going to J Metal sensations; Band- Maid. "Thrill" was the first big hit on my top 50, but that song was a couple years old. This week they are rolling the "Dice" with their new single ,and I'm betting they are on the way to getting a big hit on my top 50. The second highest single is from ,one of the hottest new bands around. Greta Van Fleet rock their way to my chart with "When The Curtain Falls". At #58 we have St. Lucia returning with "Paradise Is Waiting". This song has a familiar melody to George Michael's "Freedom 90". The last debut of the week is from AFI. "Above The Bridge" is track 6 from the "Blood", and I wanted to chart this one from the start, so here it is. Else where in the top 50 ,we find both "Crimen" and "Shattered To Pieces" climbing their way from the 51-60 slots into the top 50. This week, I also brought back the Metal Chart which features some great new songs that will eventually cruise over to the top 50. Green=debut songs. HOT LIST: Three hot songs make their way onto my adds list. First is the title track off the new LIPZ album called "Scary Man". LIPZ is a glam/Sleaze Rock band from Sweden. They have been doing Motely Cue and Kiss covers for sometime and finally have released their full length LP.  Broods is back with a new album and new retro MV. Same great sound, just on a different label. This week "Peach" makes it's world premier on my HOT LIST. My last song, is also curently my #1 Metal Chart song. "Are You Ready" is the first single from Disturbed's 'Evolution'. This one goes back to the great old skool sound from early 2000's. Fierce and Loud.

Top 10 Metal chart. The best Metal music continues to come from Europe. In particularly from Sweden. First up is LIPZ; who are finally getting a full length album out called 'Scary Man'. I charted "Ghost Town" back in 2013. "Get It On" has basically the same vibe. Very inspired by early 80's Kiss in the music and the look. In other words "party Rock" at it's best. Next is the new band Holter. Don't know too much about the band, other that they are Norway based and that they were born from a Dracula Rock Opera. The first single "I'll Die For You" is off the  'Vlad The Impaler' LP on Frontiers Music Label, The song also features backup vocals by Eva Iselin Erichsen. Hopefully there will be some songs where she does the lead vocals too. The last debut is also the highest. Rocker babe; DIAMANTE is back with single #5 off her self titled debut album. "Bulletproof" is the name and the MV featiures her kicking ass at the gym.

The Power ballad reigns champion for this second week of September, as Armored Dawn enjoy their first #1 song on my chart. The only new entry into the top 5 is Kitten's "I Did It", and crashing into the Top 10 is another Power ballad. This time its the Bad Wolves/DIAMANTE collaboration, "Hear Me Now". The spotlight this week goes to the Mexican Indie Rock band; Zoe, for their fast rising hit, "Hielo". Three songs leaving the chart, means three hot new debuts. The highest of those goes to my ,now ,former #1 Metal Chart song as Disturbed cruises over with "Are You Ready". The other two debut below the top 50. First up ,is Metric with "Dark Saturday" ,and two slots above, we welcome World Radio with their first ever song on my chart, called "Love Me Not". HOT LIST: We got a great set of adds this week. Three great new songs with a lot of indie and 80's vibes. Canada commences with the new Zolas' single; "Bombs Away". To say I like this song is an understatement. I mean just listen to that vibe. Little bit of Cars. Little bit of Strokes. Fountains of Wayne style vocals. Sounds like the kind of song that goes to the top on my chart? The next song is currently charting on AAA. Yes, more AA music is bombing my top 50. Don't know much about Milo Green, but "Move" sounds like some classy 80's stuff. Little bit of Sade with Fleetwood Mac, maybe? The first thing you notice on this week's chart, is a brand new #1 song. Surprised? Diamante has already already established herself on my charts with the  huge #1 rock song with "Coming In Hot". "Had Enough" was her second big top 5 hit, and now lending her vocals to the Bad Wolves proves a triumphant team up for the Power ballad "Hear Me Now". Not only is it one of the biggest hits on the Active chart, but it is also my new #1 song this week. The Brazilian based Armored Dawn, drops to #2, still making my top 2 songs Power ballads. Alice Merton scores her second Top 5 hit with "Lash Out",and Kobra and The Lotus crash the top 10 with "Velvet Roses". Those who listen to this song will know the words, "Velvet Roses" never appear in the song, but the utter power of this song reminds me of both Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver styles. Especially in the Guitar solo, which makes me love the song even more. Moving along we find three big debuts on this week's chart. At #60 is Kim Wilde with her latest single "Kandy Krush". This one sounds a bit more New Wave Kim then the Poprock "Pop Don't Stop". The 1975 bring us debut number 2 with "TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME". This is just an ultra fun pop song, but the kind that scores big on my chart. The highest debut goes to DIAMANTE. This week she unleashes "Haunted" on my chart, and it looks like it could be a big hit, right about my favorite time of year when the gouls and goblins come out. Elsewhere on the chart, we have Oreja De Van Gogh just outside the top 10 with "Palida Luna". THis is my favorite song off the new record, because it sounds like something Amaia Montero and Old School LODVG would perform. James Bay returns with the never ending trampoline action of "Pink Lemonade". This week the song gets a new high peak of #31. Just outside the top 30. I also have a lot to cover in the HOT LIST section. Including a new song by a band I never imagine I would chart? That would be the surprise of the year. Vids, pics and you know the rest. HOT LIST: Let's end the suspense. As promised, here is a band I got tired of tanking in the Alt rankdowns because of their rappy go lucky music, so I ask myself? What is this Awesomeness here? They look more like Zombies than Gorillaz. Zombillaz "Tranz" maybe?  One band that has had multiple top 10's on my chart are Capital Cities. This week I'm adding their new single "Venus & River" next are the Glam Metal band Crazy Lixx. This week "Wild Child" makes the jump from Metal to Hot List. I've actually giving the MV more views than I've given the song spins. This band bases their sound on 80's Glam Metal, the kind you would hear on 'Nightmare on Elm Street' movies.  My last song is off Nickelback's 'Feed The Machine". After deliberating for months, I have finally come to the conclusion that  "Coin For The Ferryman" has the vibe I enjoyed most from Nickelback "cockrock" classics. The lyrics here are not "cockrock" at all, but still fierce as hell. Even created a fierce cover to go along with the song.

Top 10 Metal chart. My Metal chart stays exactly the same, except for two debuts. My first debut comes in at #10. I feel like I should be charting this one. At least in the Metal Chart. I like the  Emo'Metal vibe it has. At #9 comes Janet Gardner with "Rat Hole" Janet was the lead singer of Vixxen. "Rat Hole" is harder than anything Vixxen ever released, and exactly the type of song you would expect to find on my Metal Chart.

So adding 10 more slots to my Top 50 has proved successful as it makes up for some nice chart movements week after week. I'm sure at some point things might become crowded, but let's enjoy the action while its here. Bad Wolves and DIAMANTE hang on strongly to #1, and from where I'm standing they seem to be in the clear from any potential danger . We have one new song cracking the top 10 from La Oreja De Van Gogh, and Fitz and The Tantrums score another top 5 song from their now three year old album. Take not that all three singles I charted after "Hand Job" have all gone top 10, while "Hand Clap" barely scraped my top 40. I'm already thinking of charting "A Place For Us" next? Now on to the debuts. Two of those come in the 51-60 slots. We have Capital Cities' new single "Venus and River" at #59, and at #60 are newcomers to my chart Milo Green with a great song called "Move". The highest debut goes to the Nickelback song, that would have been a single 10 years ago. Way up at #44, Say hello to "Coin For The Ferryman". HOT LIST: Let's get right into the action with Ghost's second single called "Dance Macabre". Everyone knows by now, that this song also has a mean 80's Metal vibe. Particularly Kiss and Scorpions. This song was already #1 on my Metal chart, but I kept it on the backburner for when  it actually started its chart run on Active. This song will most likely make a huge debut on my chart next week. I'm also showcasing the Remix of the song; which is just as strong as the original. My second add is also a former #1 song on my Metal chart. It's another track off Judas Priest's latest album, and it's entitled "Never The Heroes'. Soft Cell is back with a brand new song and Music Video, as "Northern Lights" will continue the 80's comeback streak on my charts. Last but not least, come  21 Pilots with one of the best singles of their career called, 'Jumpsuit". The band will finally score their second hit on my chart if the song makes its way on my top 60. The only other time I charted this band was with thier indiepop hit "Holding On To You".

Top 10 Metal chart. Dethroning Judas Priest this week, is DIAMANTE with her latest single off "Coming In Hot". This one is called "Bulletproof" and it continues her hard rock vibe I quickly flipped over for. . At #10 we have Bobaflex, who have had minor success on my Metal Chart. So minor that I can't even recall their last hit? Anyway, this week they return with "Off With Your Head". The lyrics and music video to this song are really fun. Almost like a Metal paradoy. The highest debut goes to newcomers LUCIFER. This one rocks hard. Strong Female rock vocals with a bit of Black Sabbath vibe in the music, gives "California Son" a quick #8 debut.
