Michael Jackson - Blood On The Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix The only remix album by Michael Jackson. It was released on May 20, 1997. Officially the best selling remix album of all time. The 5 new songs are awesome, "Morphine" especially and I love most of the remixes.1. Blood on the Dance Floor 2. Morphine 3. Superfly Sister 4. Ghosts 5. Is It Scary 6. Scream Louder (Flyte Tyme Remix) 7. Money (Fire Island Radio Edit) 8. 2 Bad (Refugee Camp Mix) 9. Stranger in Moscow (Tee's In-House Club Mix) 10. This Time Around (D.M. Radio Mix) 11. Earth Song (Hani's Club Experience) 12. You Are Not Alone (Classic Club Mix) 13. HIStory (Tony Moran's HIStory Lesson)

Time has been so kind to this. When it came out, it sounded dated and reductive as fuck. He was still riding all of that crunchy, aggressive production he had been doing the entirety of the 90's. And this was coming out when R&B was going through such a major change sonically. Timbaland was bringing the future, Michael was still in the late 80's/early 90's. He was completely out of touch. But removed from that, this is pretty awesome now. "Morphine" is just disturbing now, so epic. And "BOTD" and "Superfly Sister" sound like they could have come right off of Bad. I love that industrial noise in "Ghost," arguably my fav new track on the album. The only new track that doesn't work for me is "Is It Scary."
And all of the remixes are f**king AMAZING outside of the Scream Louder one, which doesn't improve or alter the song nearly enough. The "Earth Song" remix is one of the best club remixes of the 90's, iconic. And I actually prefer the remixes of "History," "This Time Around," "You Are Not Alone" and "2 Bad" to the album versions. The "Money" and "Stranger In Moscow" remixes are clutch as well.
Easily one of my favorite remix albums of all time. It's actually essential in his discography IMO.
