Radio seems especially stagnant nowadays! I've especially been hearing Let Me Love You a TON. I swear, if i didn't follow the charts at all, I would think that song has been #1 for like the last 4 months.

Well, it won't be the first ever, but it will be the first since airplay-only singles were allowed to chart.

The first instance I could find in reverse chronology of a radio leader not in the top 10 at all was:

I never understood why people like when one artist has so many debuts from one album, and usually those songs all drop off the next week. If more than 3 songss are selling that well all points should be shifted to album sales. It's horrible to own a billboard book that shows an artist with 50 hits and 40 of those all spent 1 week. Glee is the most irritating.

Thank the lord that abysmal train-wreck of a show is gone. 2009-2012 was unbearable for the charts, I am pretty sure we got a new Glee song every week. It was the Drake of it's time. Let's hope that train-wreck also leaves soon.

The only good thing to come out of Glee is the show making Somebody That I Used To Know a hit. But that's all.

Same. The single is obviously massive on the Hot 100, but for Airplay, I barely hear it. Despite going #1 on Pop Airplay and the fact that I listen to mostly pop radio stations.

I still hear Don't Let Me Down like 5 times a day, compared to Closer, which I hear like once a day and sometimes none. It's weird. Closer is the bigger song and is still Top 5 on the Hot 100, you'd think I'd hear it more often. Hm...

Easily the most depressing Hot 100 week of 2016 for me, only because of the new #1. I still remember how sad I was. This was my least favorite song of the year until "Treat You Better" came along.

Uhhh..really? I am sure worse songs have topped the Hot 100 compared to this one. Plus a song (that you don't like) reaching the top is no grounds for depression. You should walk a mile in the shoes of people with real problems to experience what sadness and depression actually is.
