In the footsteps of the "most forgotten hits from X year" threads, I thought I'd put a twist on things. Of the #1 hits from 2015, what do you think will be the most forgotten 5 years from now? This may be a bit easier to predict since a year has already passed since 2015, and some of these songs have clearly faded out of public consciousness.

Cheerleader is fading the fastest out of all of these.

I don't hate it at all but after looking at this list, it already feels the most forgotten.

Cheerleader, Bad Blood & What Do You Mean.
@walker9 Maybe it's because you love it so much? Bad Blood doesn't seem forgotten or faded to me but I acknowledge that the gp won't even remember it topped the chart.

Come summertime again, everyone would be listening to Cheerleader nonstop. Nah. Cheerleader wasn't played at all during summer 2016. For the record I don't dislike the track but it's a pretty unremarkable #1.

All of these were big and very memorable hits, except one: "Cheerleader." It's one of those songs that you look back on and go, "Oh, yeah, that was a thing."

"Cheerleader" by far is the most forgotten song.

This is a pretty solid list, making it especially easy to vote for "Cheerleader." Runner-up is "See You Again."

I have honestly, legitimately never heard "Cheerleader", so for that alone I'm choosing that.

It appears that I'm the only one who forgot about the most basic and unremarkable Becky smash of 2015.

^ Meh Bad Blood kinda lasted, but not in the same power of a #1 hit

^ Meh Bad Blood kinda lasted, but not in the same power of a #1 hit I was referring to the flavorless "Blank Space". Its title says it all. As juvenile as "Bad Blood" was, it at least had some spunk to it.

"Cheerleader" since while it still might be heard here and there, the artist's likely one hit wonder status means it's likely to be forgotten; one of those random ephemeral hits that in the future people will look at the chart data and think, "that was a #1 hit? Who's OMI and how does the song go?"
If "Bad Blood" is not much remembered, it's probably because Taylor has so many other hits that it sort of got lost in the shuffle. Same for "Blank Space". I don't see how "See You Again" can be forgotten, as it's become a sort of anthem for graduations and such from what I've heard, but who knows if that'll last.

Cheerleader is this decade's No Letting Go by Wayne Wonder. Both were spot on in the middle of their respective trends, did well on the charts, but completely stuck in their time. I love both but Cheerleader is the easy answer here next to the rest of those songs. A case could be made for Bad Blood.

Come summertime again, everyone would be listening to Cheerleader nonstop. Nah. Cheerleader wasn't played at all during summer 2016. This. I can't actually recall the last time I'd never heard the previous Summer's biggest hits. I even think I caught Rude on once or twice in 2015. Cheerleader's already lost the race in this. I'd put Bad Blood next, and after that possibly WDYM since Sorry was bigger all around and lasted longer, as did LY. I think those two together will eventually eclipse it.

I tried forgetting about "Cheerleader" the moment I first heard it. Awful. Glad it's winning this poll tbh.
