Stand out from his 2001 album Invincible. Written by MJ and Dr. Freeze. For some reason it was added to the track-list for his 2003 release Number Ones even though it was never commercially released (however it was intended to be released but never happened). Such a gem.

Definitely in my top 5 on that album. Great song.

Yeah, this is really good song. It seems to be overlooked in his catalog because Invincible is widely considered his worst album and it's very uneven.

Yeah, this is so hot. Just sexy. Love the production and his vocal.
Even though Invincible had some horrific ballads on it (like, five to be exact), there were some killer slower songs on it. This, "Whatever Happens," "Heaven Can Wait," and "Butterflies" were all so good. These were the kind of slow songs Michael SHOULD have been singing his entire career, as opposed to those sappy save the world and tortured children songs.

Of course I don’t know this but I sort of think that MJs time with Motown wore him out on love ballads. The sheer amount he sang while with Motown probably burned him out and he was ready to delve into heavier topics on his mature adult work. He always had a penchant for Broadway type songs and it really showed in his ballads. He liked grandiose production on his ballads it seems. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. Regardless, this song is great and should have been a single.

Love it. The knock out punch of Break of Down, Heaven Can Wait, YRMW and Butterflies was the best.
I prefer Heaven Can Wait.

LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG!!! Definitely one of the best from the album. This should have been released as a single instead of that yawn fest poo "Cry"!

I started to get more into a lot of the tracks years after this album came out. I purchased “Invisible” the day it was released, but couldn’t get fully into much of it. I was mostly into mid/upper tempo, straight ballads or true uptempo dance music around this time. So I didn’t pay this song all that much mind I’m assuming. I like it a lot now though. It’s a nice smooth produced track. I like it just as much as “Butterflies” which took me awhile to get into. Even the uptempos on this cd I couldn’t fully get into at the time. Some of them were either too loud or maybe didn’t have enough melody for me. Through the years I’ve gone back to “Invisible” and realized I slept on a lot of it.

Brilliant song just as Butterflies was. Michael's music makes me smile.
