I'm shocked that "Making Memories Of Us" didn't make the top 10. I thought that was as close of a lock as there could be. Man I love that song, and I usually don't like soft sappy type of songs. But Keith sells the hell out of that one and its such a great date kind of song.
"Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" is pretty funny. Joe sounds good on it and it was one of the first country songs I can remember really liking. Sad to see both of these gems go.

Hmm going way out on a limb here but I'm going to make a guess on the top 10. These are not in order just the songs I think have the best shot at getting up there.
01. Baby Girl 02. Best I Ever Had 03. Better Life 04. Bless The Broken Road 05. Boondocks 06. Holy Water 07. Monday Morning Church 08. Probably Wouldn't Be This Way 09. Something More 10. Who You'd Be Today
"A Real Fine Place To Start" and "That's What I Like About Sundays" would be my alternatives.

I'm beyond thrilled "Holy Water" and "Don't Ask How I Know" are still in this. I thought familiarity would really hurt them.
I'm also glad "Baby Girl" and "Best I Ever Had" are still in, but I'm expecting both of those to be in the top 10.

I continue to be absolutely shocked that "Don't Ask Me How I Know" and "How Do You Get That Lonely" are still in this thing! I'm honestly kinda unhappy about it Lol those 2 are definitely messing up my closeness ranking at this point... Alternatively, I am not really shocked at all that "Holy Water" is still in. There is literally nothing objectionable about that song! I would not be surprised if "Boondocks" and "Bless The Broken Road" are out way sooner than their various lovers may predict I also think that "I May Hate Myself In The Morning" is living on borrowed time at this point. I am not nearly bold enough to predict a top 10 at this point, but I must say that I would LOVE to see Terri Clark make it! Sugarland will undoubtedly make it with at least one of their songs. And I honestly would not be shocked to see George make it with one of his songs as well, probably "You'll Be There". And you can never count out Kenny Chesney! (Although you can also never count out at least one voter will be voting him low at all times ) If he makes it, it'll be with "Anything But Mine". Here are my predictions for what will be eliminated tomorrow before we get to the top 25, in no particular order:I May Hate Myself In The Morning Don't Ask Me How I Know Come A Little Closer That's What I Love About Sunday Miss Me Baby How Do You Get That Lonely Probably Wouldn't Be This Way
That's What I Love About Sunday, It's Getting Better All The Time, Best I Ever Had, Boondocks, and Bless The Broken Road are my alternates.

Since someone already admitted they didn't like LAW I wouldn't be totally surprised if that drug her down... but man, "I May Hate Myself in the Morning" was my guess for highest-ranking solo female song so I still can't believe it might not make Top 10. I really expected it to going into this... I'll be pissed if it gets out before a bunch of these no-name male artists. >:(

Just look at who's playing! Me, you, bigfan, sabre, and d3vin are all pretty likely to rank it high. Like between the 5 of us, I wouldn't be surprised if it is ranked #1 by 3 or 4 people Someguy, castleoblivion, and 45devour all like female artists too, so they will probably have it ranked decently... Even if Sara's song ends up having more haters than LAW's song, "I May Hate Myself In The Morning" just will not be able to beat that kind of passion! (Of course I am just speculating. Watch Sara get eliminated in the last 2 spots before the top 30, and LAW go on to make the top 5 )

I am fearful some of the voters know Sara has a lot of support on this thread, so they purposely put her lower to manipulate the vote a little bit. BTW LAW has some good stuff, but I am not behind this era. Something Worth Leaving Behind or Last Call, count me in for sure.

BTW LAW has some good stuff, but I am not behind this era. Something Worth Leaving Behind or Last Call, count me in for sure. I love female artist and I think that most years the majority of the top 10 would be female driven but this year there is only 1 solo female song in my top 20 that hasn't been eliminated yet. 4 of my bottom 50 are still in and only 1 of them is from a female artist. That all said I do think it is between Terri Clark, Lee Ann Womack and Sara Evans for who will have the highest placing solo female song. As for my predictions on what makes the top 10: Something More You'll Be There Boondocks She Didn't Have Time Baby Girl A Real Fine Place to Start I May Hate Myself In The Morning Holy Water Who You'd Be Today Monday Morning Church With alternates being: Anything But Mine, Better Life & Probably Wouldn't be this Way As for what'll be out soon: Best I Ever Had Don't Ask Me How I Know How Do You Get That Lonely Goodbye Time Mississippi Girl Fast Cars and Freedom guess we shall see

I too typically prefer female vocalists and their music, but this year was an especially good one for males and male-driven groups. This is back when Kenny Chesney was in his prime, Josh Gracin was scoring hits, George Strait was still at the top of his game, Gary Allan and Craig Morgan were churning out fantastic tunes, and Rascal Flatts were great as well. So I certainly have several female artists in my top 10, but I am by no means surprised that so many males did well on this rankdown too.
As we grow closer to the top, there will be even more surprises coming your way! A few songs y'all are predicting to make the top 10 will be out sooner than expected and there are a few that are in the top 10 that haven't been guessed yet. Just goes to show how awesome this year of music was!

"Come A Little Closer" is such a good romantic tune. Dierks sounds very sensual on it, and its a good one for love themed playlists.

Both of these are solid songs, but they're also a little snoozy. They got as high (maybe a little higher) as they needed to, imo.
