I'm a little surprised that "Come A Little Closer" is my first top 10 to be out. I think that my #10 HAS to be reaching the end of its run...

Anyway, I've always loved "Come A Little Closer". Such a sexy song! To this day my dad calls him "Dirty Dierks" because of that song :) Of course when the song came out I was 11 or 12, so I firmly believed that the song was not meant in a sexual way. I totally recognized all the double-entendres in the verses, but assumed that the more innocent variations were the ones that Dierks meant every time ;) LOL oh how young and naive I was

This one did much better than I thought it would! Pleasantly surprised by this one's final placement.

"Bless The Broken Road" is getting out at just the right time, imo. The song was pretty good, but always seemed a little cheesy and cliched (and dare I say, overwrought?). I like it, but it was overplayed as holy hell. Of course I was in middle school at this time, and this song was performed at like EVERY middle school choir event, and being in band I had to hear the choir sing a lot, so I got so sick of hearing it.

"Mississippi Girl" is great, but I will agree with its placement. I enjoy it, but it is not a favorite of mine among the songs that are left. I like it much more now than I remember liking it in 2005 though! (Again, overplay...)

"Better Life" is a very strong song! A little surprised to see it go already. That being said, I always have to listen for a few seconds before I remember how the choruses of "Better Life" and "You're My Better Half" go Like, I know I enjoy both songs very much, but I can never tell them apart in my head until I am actually listening to them.
