...aaaand there it is. Love seeing 5 #100s for this abysmal song. The "edginess" of "High on legal marijuana" never fails to make me laugh.

There's your worst song on the chart. And what bothers me the most about it is that I've listened to some of Halsey's other songs, and they're not bad...but this...this is just awful.

It's even less edgy since she states that it's legal. Wow, you're following the law - how edgy.

I'm surprised by how big the voter turnout was

Not surprised to see my rank in the top few posters for this one. Nowhere near the quality of "Harlem" but it was easily their best single of a very rough Vikings era. If "Girl Crush" had somehow made the Year-End Top 100 it would have definitely given Halsey and Matt & Kim a run for their money near the bottom of my list.

I can safely say that I saw "Everywhere I Go" appearing near the bottom. Can't imagine the other New Politics song is too far away. I also can't say that I'm TOO surprised to see "Nothing Without Love" show up this early. I have a bit of a soft spot for Nate Ruess, admittedly. I feel like you guys just don't get it! Here's the thing: I get what Halsey was going for. She had this song about critiquing the state of pop culture and turned it into a huge pop song, as a bit of an ironic twist. That, believe it or not, is not my problem with the song. Nor are the lyrics my biggest problem. "High on legal marijuana" is goofy, but there's plenty of goofy lyrics in pop music. That doesn't bother me all that much, either. You know what does bother me about "New Americana", though? Halsey's performance. It bothers me because I know what the intent of the song is, and she does not do a good job at all of putting that idea together. If you didn't know better, you'd think that it just *is* a dumb, basic, lazy pop song, because Halsey's performance is so below par. Say what you will about "Royals" (and I'm not the biggest fan of the song myself), but Lorde SELLS the message with her performance. You can feel the disdain and the contempt that she feels about the lifestyles of the rich and famous. What I'm saying is that "New Americana" is a watered-down, lazy, unoriginal, bland, poorly performed version of "Royals". That is my problem with the song.

Wow, didn't expect this song that quickly but not complaining at all. Never enjoyed anything from fun., especially Nate's voice and his vocals are incredibly unconvincing on this song. Despite that, the barren instrumental seems determined to focus on his voice for the vast majority of the song.
Also tangent, didn't this get an OTV deal on Pop but then miserably flop there? Or am I thinking of another song?

Not surprised on the low ranking of "Everywhere I Go (Kings & Queens)". It don't mind it honestly, it's just there are so many better songs.
"Nothing Without Love" sucks. Nate's voice sounds awful on it.
Also, why does everyone think "West End Kids" will be so low? I thought people kinda liked it?
