Very good dance mix of country singer, Wynonna. It's trance-like and her vocals are put to great use.
This was commissioned by Curb and will be used as the radio version as they prepare to push this Foreigner cover in the UK. Hopefully they'll push it to the clubs here.

did anyone notice how low the volume is when you buy tracks from walmart or tower records? i bought the two mixes and notice that the volume might be 1/3 of a standard cd track.

WYNONNA I Want to Know What Love Is Producer(s): Dann Huff, Wynonna Judd Writer(s): M. Jones Publisher(s): Somerset Songs (ASCAP) Genre: DANCE Label/Catalog Number: Curb 73198 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: November 13, 2004
Country singer Wynonna is not particularly a known commodity in the dance community. But that is likely to change with the potent Piper remixes of the artist's cover of Foreigner's 1984 No. 1 pop hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is." Piper (aka Ron Slomowicz, Tommy Dorsey and Lenny Bertoldo) surround Wynonna's blues-tinged vocals with rugged trance-laced rhythms. Sure, some club DJs will find these remixes too pop for dancefloors, but that unfortunate reality should not deter dance radio programmers from immediately adding this tight radio edit.—MP

Moving to about 45-50 spins this week on KTU -- Top 10 call-out and requests. All but one of the radio stations on the dance panel have now added -- the lone exception being WPYM-Miami.

Highest new entry on Billboard's Dance Radio chart this week at No. 16...also the biggest spin gain.

Hey can anyone send me info on how to obtain this elusive mix. The Wal-mart link is for the original mix and I would like the dance one. I listened to it on the Realplayer link and it really is awesome... any help appreciated... Thanks!

I got both the Radio Mix and the Club Mix by Piper from Walmart.com as well. I didn't notice any problems with the volume when I downloaded them. I even burned them to CD and they sounded fine.
Wynonna has been highly successful in the Country music world, now it's time for a crossover. And dance music is the perfect place to start. Her voice is in fine form here and she sounds great delivering this Foreigner cover. I hope it gets a wider release here in the U.S.

man! isn't this a little late?... still, a good mix to listen to tho. Yeah, it's a bit late. iTunes has just been adding stuff from the Curb label during the last couple of months, and now they have finally gotten around to adding some of the dance mixes to some of their regular acts.

man! isn't this a little late?... still, a good mix to listen to tho. It's been available at Wal-Mart a couple of months after the mixes were released, so really it's no biggie.
