What makes everyone so certain she will release an album in 2019? I wouldn't be surprised to see her stick with the 3-year cycle from now on.

What makes everyone so certain she will release an album in 2019? I wouldn't be surprised to see her stick with the 3-year cycle from now on. She's been hinting at new music for a while. In May, 2018, she said once she finished reputation she was relieved to be able to go back to making normal music again, which suggests she might have started writing for TS7 as early as mid-2017. Might be fabrication but Perez Hilton said she told him the new album would be out before she's 30. Talking about sharing the "next chapter" of her life with music at the AMAs this fall, probably the earliest she's ever referenced new music in an era. She mentioned she was planning on taking a long break after 1989 but it seemed like that was going to be an exception. It makes sense, there isn't that much going on with her other than Cats, and her media break has allowed the negative sentiments from the GP to blow over so it only makes sense to take advantage of that and the momentum Delicate built and release new music soon. She might have had a fair bit written for TS6 before the Kimye drama and was annoyed at that getting shelved and be eager to get back to some of that (or similar stuff). |

Her Netflix concert is great. It definitely made me appreciate the Reputation album more. It must be hard for her to decide what to perform, since she has so many distinct styles.

I watched the reputation Stadium Tour and I cried. And died. 😭😭😭
Everything is so great. IDSB is iconic. I expected LWYMMD to be boring but was shookt. Even more amazed by Getaway Car and, my favorite, Don't Blame Me.

On the Billboard 200 this week: #35 Reputation #164 Red She was #2 over a year ago already. I wonder how close she is to Barbra now after another year of 1989 and reputation charting. That also means she's at least #6 overall behind The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand, Garth Brooks and Elton John. Total weeks on the chart 2787 - The Beatles 1879 - The Rolling Stones 1883 - Barbra Streisand 1344 - Garth Brooks 1763 - Elton John 887 - Mariah Carey 1359 - Herb Alpert 1164 - Taylor Swift 1152 - Chicago 1640 - Michael Jackson The all time artists list was last update on October 10, 2015, so she had only around 900 weeks on the Billboard 200 when she was #8 on the all-time list, and around 1045 weeks when Billboard updated their female lists on November 30, 2017 to show that Taylor Swift overtook Mariah Carey. It seems like Taylor Swift's weeks count for more than for a lot of the other artists, maybe because a lot of those weeks are spent near the top of the charts? Anyways, I think it's quite possible that she's challenging Elton John and Garth Brooks at this point. |

Also reputation was projected to increase significantly on the Billboard 200, so probably the rest of the discography will too since the streaming boost from the tour movie was pretty even across all albums.
