Damn I feel like Taylor got screwed at the Grammys because of the label change. The old label wasn’t going to fight for her, and the new label has no real interest in Reputation. Was one of my fave albums this decade, shame it didn’t win.

Damn I feel like Taylor got screwed at the Grammys because of the label change. The old label wasn’t going to fight for her, and the new label has no real interest in Reputation. Was one of my fave albums this decade, shame it didn’t win. She didn't really have the momentum to win anyways. People try to complain that Kelly didn't win but I feel like hype is still a huge part of how voters end up making their picks and this was clearly an "off" era for Tay (and Kelly and P!nk too). |

Someone made a mash up of Better Man using Taylor's live acoustic vocals and sounds really nice...I hope they return to this style a bit more for Ts7 instead of overproduced vocals:

I was just playing reputation for the first time in a while and "Gorgeous" really stands out for all the wrong reasons. Especially between "So It Goes..." and "Getaway Car" which are both great.

How do we think they are gonna handle her rollout if she releases this year given Adele is releasing too? Do we think they will release earlier than usual? I mean, yes, two big artists can release around the same time just fine, but with artists of their stature, being such high-profile releases, might be tricky.

Anyways, my guess is Taylor will release first, I still think there's a decent chance her lead single will come out within a month. It looks like we could have the Elle covers on March 7. Taylor Nation has been asking fans to vote for Delicate at the iHeart awards a lot, that's on March 14, last time they did that was for the AMAs which she attended. So that's two promo opportunities there. Then there's James Corden that feels like he's been hinting at Taylor appearing on Carpool Karaoke. And we don't know if she'll be attending the Oscars Red Carpet/Awards ceremony, but she's already been spotted at a pre-awards party, so she'll probably be at some after-parties like with the BAFTAs. I can see Taylor releasing a lead single in early March, a second single in May-June and album in July-October, depending what her strategy will be for Grammys and when she's expecting Adele to release. Cats will come out Dec 20, so she'll be promoting that in December and will probably want her best singles out by then. |
