I always assumed she would come up with something original for a greatest hits, but always thought it would be more like an acoustic album (for example having versions like the grammy museum version of Out Of The Woods). Could a album full of live versions be considered a greatest hits albums? She is one of the worst live vocalists in the game, so let’s pray that doesn’t happen. Delete your post before she sees it and gets any ideas. I disagree. Did you listen to her acoustic performances of 1989 in the Grammy Museum? Her voice is not the strongest nor does she have the best technique. Far from that. But her voice tells a story, something I fail to identify with other vocalists.

But her voice tells a story, something I fail to identify with other vocalists. That acoustic Wildest Dreams is phenomenal, and I prefer it over the recording, but I’m not convinced it was 100% live. Similar to those Walmart soundchecks artists do, it sounds a little touched up before being put online. She has had a couple nice performances, but for the most part I don’t appreciate her live performances and think she could really benefit from vocal coaching. Her live performances remind me a lot of of Avril circa 2002-2006 where they’re flat and off-key, but to each their own. I did like her Call It What You Want on SNL and appreciate the rawness of it. I wish she did more live spots this era so we could actually see how her voice is maturing. It’s hard to judge her currently based on videos that are years old. I want to hear Don’t Blame Me and So It Goes live the most from this era.

She became a better vocalist by the 1989 tour, I'm expecting some improvement for this tour as well. I'm still sad that we didn't get to see her much yet... But whatever makes her happy, I imagine how frustrated she might have been so I kinda understand her. I hope she is using this time at home to write for her next album though >

She might be writing for other people as well, or working on other projects that are still on early stages. Guess we will know someday.

I am praying that she's using this time to work with a vocal coach. Her voice is definitely capable with the right coach to train her. I can't wait for this tour to start even though my dates are at the end of the NA leg.

Welp my interest in this era is officially dead. The only thing I wanted was to not have another single mentioning her reputation.

Are you implying that you ever had interest in this era or seeing it be success? Lol I had interest going into this era because of how good 1989 was. LWYMMD was not my cup of tea at all. However, I do like Ready For It. But then she went back to talking about her reputation with End Game. She’s trying too hard to have this bad bitch persona while playing the victim of the media. It gets annoying and it’s not relatable at all to me. Don’t Blame Me and Getaway Car are more up my alley. I’d even rather have Gorgeous.

It’s good that they picked a single that sounds different than the first three singles. I’m just not here for it lyrically. Maybe if it does well, I’ll like the next single they release but at this moment, I’m not feeling this era anymore.

Why is Delicate coming out so quickly as a single? It feels like End Game just came out.

Why is Delicate coming out so quickly as a single? It feels like End Game just came out. TBH I don't think this is quick. End Game started getting airplay the moment Reputation came out and Delicate is going to get started 4 months after that. I'd even say that's kind of slow since her single spacing has generally been more like 3 months. The releases of End Game and Delicate are only close in terms of the official release date, but if you look at it in terms of when her songs started getting airplay, when they peaked, and when they started to plummet, all that should come out to about 3-4 months between End Game and Delicate. Entry on CHR top 50 LWYMMD: Aug 26 RFI: Sept 7 End Game: Nov 13 Peak Spins LWYMMD: Oct 15 RFI: Nov 28 End Game: Jan 31 Worst bullet LWYMMD: Oct 24 Ready For It: Dec 20 End Game: Feb 20 Even LWYMMD with it's stratospheric rise, reaching #31 on its first day with 2858 spins and a +10256 bullet on Sept 1 took 1.5 months to reach its peak. RFI and End Game had a weird release cycle but I think her previous singles took about 1.5 months to peak too. So if Delicate peaks 1.5 months in that'll be around late April/early May, 3 months after End Game peaked.

Considering End Game is already gone from most charts, at least "Delicate" won't have to compete with any other song for the public's attention like the previous two singles. Let's hope it turns out well for them, the song is the right choice at this point.

At this point I doubt we'll get "Don't Blame Me", but not upset about this being released. I hope its the turn around this era needs.

Can't believe '1989' remained in the top 10 of Billboard 200 for like a year and 'reputation' didn't even last two months.
Actually, I can believe that. '1989' was better, heavily promoted and supported by hits. It's her fault...

"Welcome To New York" is one of my least favorite songs ever but '1989' literally has like 3-4 of the best pop songs of the decade which make up for it. 'reputation' has "Call It What You Want", "Delicate" and that's it.

What's interesting is that Taylor can't win no matter what. She's overexposed, people hate her. She hides under the radar, people hate her. I think this is her best course of action. I understand how this seems like a slap in the face to fans, but she's so polarizing at the moment that she doesn't have much of a choice.
Quite the conundrum.

It happens to every superstar after a few years of being beloved -- and it's not just limited to pop stars. Look at Jennifer Lawrence -- people are taking pot shots at her constantly these days too. It's all about weathering the storm and coming back stronger, if you can -- that's what separates the stars from the legends. IMO the biggest issue this time around was the music. Taylor can still turn it around if she wants to.

Taylor just confirmed Camila and also Charli XCX as the openers for her tour.
I hope it's both and not one or the other...

Slay our lives and our wallets in the process! This might very well be the tour of the decade, even bigger than the 1989 world tour.
