I had never even heard this Sons of the Desert song before this Rankdown, so the fact that it got close enough to sniff my top 20 is absolutely astounding! Normally I am biased against songs I don't know as well, but that one really made an impression on me.

FOLLOWERS: bigfan101 Andy Absolutely love the sound of this sound and the lyrics. Huge fan of The Kinleys and they are probably the 90's act that I miss the most. Their first two albums were great. I know they released a third album but I have never been able to get it or hear it unfortunately. This song is sadly their only top 10 hit ever.
UP NEXTHighest ranking for this song is 27 and lowest ranking is 78 One of the remaining acts with 3 songs remaining loses their first here. Was anyones predictions correct?

FOLLOWERS: bigfan101 Andy This was actually my highest ranking Alan Jackson song for this year so I'm definitely sad to see it be the 2nd song out. In fact the first song out was my 2nd highest ranked song for him. While I like the other two I definitely prefer these two over them. Regardless I probably wouldn't put any of these four songs in my favorites from him because there are other songs he has done that are among some of my favorites
TOP 40 BEGINS TOMORROW NIGHT!

Lowest standard deviation of the game??! That's what I was thinking too! It's barely in anybody's top-30 or bottom-30. Definitely not a very large spread.

"Whatever Comes First" is good, but it's also just kind of... there. Nothing I'd ever shut off though!
"Places I've Never Been" is also really good. I really like the instrumentation. Melody is a bit underwhelming though and I'm not a huge Mark Wills fan, hence my mid-range ranking.
Nooo not The Kinley's! "Please" is a really great song. I love them. They do have others I like better, though. "She Ain't The Girl For You" remains a favorite.
Really glad "There Goes" is out now. I LOVE the instrumentation. This is the type of traditional country sound I grew up listening to. The chorus melody is also wonderful. However, I REALLY dislike Alan's voice. If someone else sang things, I would have likely ranked it much higher.

Some of the album tracks on that album are just as good as the singles. Before We Ever Heard Goodbye is one of my favorites

Gonna be heading out with a friend for a little but before I go I'm gonna post the #40 song and maybe one more, not sure when my friend will be here exactly FOLLOWERS: bigfan101 Andy Brooks and Dunn were usually very consistent in having great songs and this is no exception. This is not one of my favorites but it is a great song.
UP NEXTsomeone loses their #2 ranked song A female artist sings this next song lowest rank is 96 also will add that this was actually my sisters #1 song so it would have ranked at #29 if her ranks affected this

FOLLOWERS: bigfan101 Andy This remains one of my favorite songs from Collin Raye. As it was this was his latest single at radio when I first really got into country music. I still listen to this song from time to time and is one of songs from this year that I still listen to fairly regularly
UP NEXTSomeone loses a top 5 this next song 3 people lose a bottom 10 a male artist sings this next song

Glad the better of the two Collin Raye songs made it farther, but I still think this one majorly overstayed. "Little Red Rodeo" is the only single of his that I'm familiar with that I honestly enjoy. In all fairness, I don't know very many of his songs... but I also don't really care much for his voice or material from the ones that I have so... meh. "Little Red Rodeo" is a solid jam though.

FOLLOWERS: bigfan101 Andy honestly really happy this is finally out. Its not that I dislike this song, just like everything else so much more. was surprised that my sister and I ranked this in the same spot cause we have very different taste in music usually. She's not even much of a country fan
UP NEXT TOMORROW NIGHT4 artist with more than one song in this rankdown will lose a song, 2 of which will still have one song left One of the acts with only one song in the rankdown will leave the rankdown at 34 The last two songs that do not have a single rank in anyones top 10 will bow out with both of their highest ranking being at 11 all 3 of the other songs out in these 5 eliminations had their highest rankings at 4 Lowest rankings are: 99, 96, 95, 89 and 88 Not counting highest rankings there is only 1 other person to lose a top 10 ranking on the other side there is also only one other person to lose a bottom 10, not counting the lowest rankings
