So I just submitted my list. A few things: 1. I know I said my #100 would likely be #100 on a lot of other people's lists, but my #100 actually only ended up being #96, which goes to show how many awful songs there were this year. My actual #100 is really really bad, but I can't put my finger on what I hate so much about it. Like I feel like it deserves to be #95 or something on my list, not #100, but if I'm being 100% honest it's probably the song I hate the most. I may change it though. 2. That being said, there's also a fair amount of good stuff this year too. I also surprised myself with what I ended up choosing as my #1, given that the only time I had heard this previously was a couple years ago once and I thought it was pretty meh. But I like it way more this time around, although it still doesn't necessarily feel like a #1 -- more like a #5. My #2 is probably the song I like the most on here, honestly, but I honestly am so incredibly burned out on it so I docked it because of that. I suspect Lordef†ones will be a fan of much of my top 5  3. 2014 was a really weird year for alt. There's way more overly happy indie pop and garage hipster "I chose s**tty production because good production is too mainstream" bulls**t, but there's also a surprising amount by established artists and a decent amount of solid alt rock. In general though, I like 2016's random indie hits more then 2014's. |

Still not sure if I'm gonna participate or not.
I'll go over the whole thing today and decide whether I know these sonngs good enough to rank them.
For example, in the 2015 rankdown I ranked Little Monster at #98 and if I did the rankdown now it would've been in my top 50 for sure.

Taking a few last listens to some of the songs before submitting. I was really thinking i'd rank Doses and Mimosas at #100, but for me it's almost becoming "so bad it's kinda decent", and there's one song on this list that I have a special place in hell reserved for. Yeah this song ended up being my #98. I can stand hearing it just a little bit more than my #99 and #100. |

Alright, so I just sent my list.
I've worked on it a lot today and I'm happy that I was able to send a list I'm good with.
Overall 2015's list was better, this one had 4 songs that really annoyed me (my #97-100).
Pretty sure that my #97-99 won't be out early and that I'm gonna get a lot of hate on them, but all I have to say is that after staying up until 1 am to finish ur list, some of these just gave me a headache.
