What are some country music related memories you have, but can't verify?
* I distinctly recall seeing a video for Eddy Raven's "Hot Pink" that featured someone playing steel guitar in the middle of a street. However, I've found no proof that "Hot Pink" was even a single, or that it had a video. Given that "Too Much Candy for a Dime" was on the charts in July 1991, and Eddy was dropped from Capitol in September, that would've been a very narrow window.
* I swear I heard Aaron Tippin's "Ten Pound Hammer" and Joe Diffie's "Down in a Ditch" on radio a few times. Somebody told me they remembered "Ditch" being sent out as a promo single, but I've found no proof of that.
* There was some country music news/trivia show on the radio that opened with "High Steppin' Daddy" by the Kentucky Headhunters. I remember this fooled me several times because I thought it meant they were going to play the song. I know it wasn't a local show because it wasn't hosted by one of the station's DJs. I have no idea what it was, nor any idea how to verify it.

Back in my hometown, I swear the country radio station just adopted Carrie Underwood's 'Thank God for Hometowns' and played it more often than any of her singles. I constantly being puzzled why it was such a favourite by the programmers, and kept wondering if that meant it was gonna be released as a single.

^ Similarly, I remember back around the time Brad Paisley released either "The World" or "She's Everything", some station in Kansas had "I'll Take You Back" in power rotation but wasn't playing his current single at all.

I heard Amy Dalley's "I Think You're Beautiful" on The Highway about two years ago on the morning show with Storme Warren and they never said why they played this song that only got to #40 on R&R from 2003...I never got a reason!
Some of my friends don't believe me.

I remember thinking there was a music video for "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" because on GAC there was this performance Sara Evans gave of the song but it was in black-and-white and it was just her sitting there with her band behind her and the rest of the room around her was dark (so you could literally only see her + the musicians). That was the first time I was introduced to her before the "Perfect" single came out and I started seeing that video on GAC/CMT. I haven't ever found that performance anywhere online though and there's obviously not a music video for "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus," but I have a memory of that.
