did you even understand the context of the discussion cause... I understood. You don't need to be smug. Just because Shawn didn't have multiple songs in the Top 10 doesn't mean s**t if his airplay is still large. I probably heard all 3 of those songs back to back like 5000 times last year. The fact that they weren't in the Radio Songs Top 10 together baffles me. An anecdote about recurrent airplay is nowhere near the same as the topic at hand, though. And while we're on the subject, What's My Name and Only Girl as well as The Way You Move and Hey Ya come to mind.

It will be a shame if "HUMBLE" is well ahead in the consumer-driven metrics of streaming and sales but falls short of #1 because of radio.

It shows its streams there rising 68%. For the most recent Hot 100 "HUMBLE" had 43.2 million streams overall. If those rose even 50% it would be around 65 million streams for the next chart. What am I missing?

Personal bias aside, I thought HUMBLE would've garnered around 50 million on-demand since Spotify alone it had 23-24 million for the whole week. Now if the 44 million figure is accurate then it shows that more than half of his on-demand's from Spotify, which is higher percentage than the Apple Drake!

First week I think it had 33.2 million on-demand and 49.8 in total, and second week 27.3 million on-demand and around 43.2 in total. That's 16.6 and 15.9 million passive streams respectively for the first 2 weeks, now if it got 30-50% boost from YouTube views and all then assume it soars to 22 millions it's gonna add up to 66-68 million streaming in totality

Bruno is hella thirsty for number 1. 3 remixes at the same time. Not even Katy did that. Are they being advertised at all? I don't see any of them in the top 100 at iTunes so it doesn't look like they are going to help. Meanwhile "Shape of You" is back in the top 10. "Castle on the Hill" is down in the 40s. I wonder if it will be like "Unconditionally" where people never move on to the 2nd single.

If they want no.1 then put it on 0.69 like they did with When I Was Your Man. Remix is such a dodgy and cheesy way. How many songs were in any real sense boosted by remix?

How is Slide by Harris not bigger. Great song. Heatstroke is also amazing and that is even lower.

Not neccesarily remixes as in different production but Last Friday Night? I remember Maroon 5 tried with Sugar and Nicki Minaj (and that did have a different instrumental in the verses) but it didn't work

The Hills blocked Hotline Bling thanks to Nicki and Eminem's remixes.

"1 = ED SHEERAN Shape Of You 249.371 -0.780"
"57 +1 KENDRICK LAMAR Humble. 35.804 +0.961"
PARTY TIME! Now HUMBLE has a better chance provided SOY drops a little more up to Monday.

How many weeks has Shape been #1? Do you think it will break the all-time record?

Isn't the Billboard's tracking week in which HUMBLE. could possibly get enough points for #1 over now?

How many weeks has Shape been #1? Do you think it will break the all-time record? 12 weeks, and I don't think it'll get to 16 maybe 14 at most. This week it has to hold off Kendrick and then the following week Bruno will be right there too. Isn't the Billboard's tracking week in which HUMBLE. could possibly get enough points for #1 over now? Just Saturday and Sunday's airplay is left

The iTunes singles rotation continues to turn and has gone full circle. This new tracking week started with the new Shawn Mendes song at #1, replaced by the Despacito remix and now That's What I Like returned today to #1, almost a full week since it last was there.

Whitney Houston's "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" was #1 this week in 1988. It's one of my favorite Whitney ballads, and I can't believe it doesn't even have 3 million YouTube views.
