Her talking voice sounded so much stronger during Letβs Go! So I am glad to see itβs carrying over into the studio. Queen.

I feel like sheβs only damaging her legacy by continuing to sing. Her voice just isnβt it anymore. Very βNowβ sounding. Shame. Iβll always love her though.

Personally, I applaud her for not giving up what she loves. Since when do you need a great voice to be successful? Gosh, Rod Stewart and Bruce Springsteen made careers out of horrible voices. Cher has been autotuned since 1996.
When I watched her performance during the Tennis finals in 2017, it was tough to listen to it. But she just still had that "Shania" energy and charm.
I still say a "Xmas" album should be the next project in 21, COO 25th in 22 and new music in 23. That'll keep her busy and relevant for a long time.

Cher has been autotuned since 1996. I loudly agree. On top of that she has not only earned it but has the right to do whatever she wants to do with her life and career. Her legacy will never die nor get overshadowed because no album will ever sell the way "Come on Over" and "The Woman in Me" did. She worked the hell out of those albums with single after single.

Obviously she can do what she wants. It was just an opinion. I feel the same way about Madonna. I hope P!nk doesnβt do that.
Itβs just cringeworthy sometimes.
Rod Stewartβs American Songbook cds are a staple at my house during dinner parties. Just sayin.

I just want to say I'm happy how active this thread has been the last few days. Shania deserves the recognition after everything she's been through.

So excited to see how active she has been these past few months. It sounds like based on the interview she did for their Hits radio show, that her Apple Music show has been in the works since the newest Vegas residency began.

Two bits of news from a new interview: New Album Spring 2021?: "Covid has kept me on earth more lately, I'm grounded. At the moment, productions cannot be done the way they are normally done. Currently, all artists work in very small groups and use technology to collaborate remotely. That's how I have to work myself. So the album is probably coming together more slowly than usual, but I'm working on a new album. Anyway, I hope I can most likely get new music out in the spring of next year. That is my goal." Diamond Celebration Albums Coming for 'Come On Over,' 'Up!': "My trilogy of consecutive diamond albums - "The Woman in Me", "Come On Over" and "Up!" - will be remastered and published with additional content ... All three albums are completely remastered and there is also all sorts of new material on them. It's very, very fulfilling to still be very active in my career, working on a reissue of previous hit albums that were first released 25 years ago. Above all, it's beautiful and exciting for the fans. It's a very, very exciting time for me" www.moneytoday.ch/news/im-gespraech-mit-shania-twain

Shania is set to perform at the CMT Music Awards. It will be her first country music awards show performance since the Up! era I believe (don't quote me on that).

She developed lyme disease toward the end of the Up! tour so it would have to be sometime before that.

Yes, I believe the last performance was 2003 with Alison Krauss and Union Station. She opened the awards with a pre-recorded bit with Jeff Foxworthy in 2005 and made her most recent appearance in 2011.

She performed "Party for Two" at the 2004 CMA Awards with Billy Currington. That was the year she co-hosted with Brooks & Dunn.

She developed lyme disease toward the end of the Up! tour so it would have to be sometime before that. I know this is what she says, but the vocal problems started earlier than that. They were obvious during "Up! Close and Personal" and a performance shortly after that taping on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." She sounded much better on Oprah, but if you go back to "UCAP," her voice was starting to be strained then.

Been listening to "The Woman in Me" album. It truly was a game changer. I don't think Shania and Mutt get the credit they deserve for updating/opening the doors of the genre to an edgier sound and look.

I love that album. While I love Come On Over and what it did and what it contained, TWIM is truly what won me over with Shania. Those singles β ugh!! Then second punch of COOs singles. Woo. Truly epic.

I am obsessed with Shaniaβs addition to Hole in the Bottle!
Her ad libs, banter, and added vocals take the song to the next level that it really needed (even though it was already a bop to me for months!)
I also love that it invokes the feeling of two girlfriends sitting on the couch chugging a bottle or two and dishing.
Shaniaβs voice, although not as strong, is still as distinctive as ever.
I am loving all her contributions this year! β€οΈ

The dance remix of Don't Be Stupid was added to streaming! This is such a bop! Thanks for sharing, Iβve been jamming all day. I love that itβs the version used in the music video with the tap dancing on water. One of Shaniaβs best videos in my opinion!

In the most recent episode of her Apple Music Hits radio show, Shania revealed that Tyler Joseph (lead singer of Twenty One Pilots) produced one of her new songs.
So far we have: Tyler Joseph (Twenty One Pilots) David Baron (The Lumineers, Lenny Kravitz)
David Baron responded to a fan on Instagram saying that this new Shania music is some of his favorite Shania music ever.
