Hmmm... The Ultimix is dance? 86 BPM is pretty slow for dance. Anyway, Ultimix is usually pretty good but every now and then they throw in one of these pop-rock songs that just dont seem to belong. Similar to their mix of "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. Big dissappointment.

I almost used the Ultimix tonight, but decided against it at the last second. Threw something else in. It's not dancey at all. I'm sure you can hear a clip of it at www.ultimix.comPeace, Ben

Ultimix.com is a serious resource for professional DJ's ONLY. You must be a serious disc-jockey to order our CD and vinyl releases. By pressing the OK button and proceeding, you certify that you are a professional club, event, or radio DJ.

Yeah, I sometimes scratch my head at some of the selections Ultimix makes for their issues. (I subscribe to both Ultimix and Funkymix). I think sometimes they run into obstacles as far as getting licensing permission for a song, and if they're in a jam, they get forced to put a corny dance edit of Boulevard Of Broken Dreams (I got issue 113 a week or two ago and the token selection was "Jessie's Girl" by Fricken A... LOL). Or I don't know, maybe they WANT some of these songs on there to appease the Open House Party mindset types. Who knows.
I wish they'd get a little more adventurous with their selections on there and not try to be so mainstream. If it was up to me, I'd have canned the Fricken A track (blechhhhh) and tried to put Jenn Cunetta or the Chemical Brothers on there instead. When it comes to promo dance comps, Promo Only is miles ahead of Ultimix. Too bad they don't do vinyl. :(

This guy has a mashup called "Boulevard of Broken Songs", but it's not a dance mix.

Top 200 rhythmic SMASH! 372 193 GREEN DAY Boulevard of Broken ... 31 10 21 0.138 There must be a some rhythmic version to this song and I want it. Almost all of its spins (29 out of 31) are coming from CKEY. They're classified as Rhythmic Hit but when you take out the Can-Con rhythmic stuff (plus "He Wasn't" and "Pieces"), they're really just a pop station. Few other Rhythmics are playing "Switch" and "Incomplete".

There is a remix by Global Deejays out there. If this is the same Global Deejays that has done some mixes for KTU, this might be the one we're looking for... Haven't gotten ahold of it yet. It is remixed by DJ Polar of Global Deejays.

Go to Partyben.com and d/l the latest sixxmixx87. The last track on there is a pretty good dance remix of BOBD. Partyben has said that he is "cleaning it up a bit" and will be posting the dance mix (I think he generically calls it "techno") on it's own. The single version he has posted right now is a rock mashup with Green Day, Oasis and Aerosmith, but the version on the sixxmixx adds the club beats.
There is also a "I98" Remix floating about which is s'posed to be good. Haven't gotten my ears on that one yet though.
