32. Pretty Hurts [654 points]"Pretty Hurts" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her eponymous fifth studio album (2013). It impacted mainstream radio in the United States on June 10, 2014, as the fourth single from the album. The song was written by Sia, Beyoncé and Ammo, and its production was handled by the former two. "Pretty Hurts" was initially written for Katy Perry and then offered to Rihanna; both artists failed to record the track and as a result it was sent to Beyoncé instead. It is a power pop, soul ballad, instrumentally complete with a sparse background honed with the use of synths, minor chords and a "booming" drum beat. The track's lyrical content deals with subjects of third-wave feminism, self-empowerment and body image. Additionally, the song's lyrics deal with the consequences of society's high standards of beauty, and in "Pretty Hurts" eating disorders are depicted as one of the subjected results. - Wikipedia Average: 29.7272727273 St Dev: 14.5411790253 Chart Peaks: Australia - 47 / Ireland - 56 / UK - 63 / Canada - 78 / Germany - 83 / Netherlands - 87 04 Sambalada08 .indulgecountry08 born09 Normi11 austin16 Kanenrá:ke27 aerodynamite27 Choco28 CF1529 Zeebz31 #LisaRinna32 Az Paynter34 ry4n36 jtd Thee Stallion40 @antigonerising 40 Ky42 LBTrocks43 Leo ✔44 Albie47 bat199049 Fat Ass Kelly Price49 @walker9 YotamTS

31. Green Light [630 points]"Green Light" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé. The song was written by Beyoncé, Sean Garrett, and Pharrell for Beyoncé's second solo studio album, B'Day (2006). Produced by The Neptunes, it was released as the fifth UK and seventh overall single on July 30, 2007 through Columbia Records. "Green Light" is an R&B-funk song with lyrics detailing a break-up song in which the female protagonist gives her love interest the permission to move out. The song also finds Beyoncé using fairly aggressive tone. Written in the key of F minor, "Green Light" samples the "uh-oh-oh-oh-oh" vocals which music critics noted to have a flagrant resemblance to Beyoncé's own 2003 hit single, "Crazy in Love". A remix of the song features American rapper Young Buck. - Wikipedia Average: 28.6363636364 St Dev: 15.0286882948 Chart Peaks: UK - 12 / Ireland - 46 07 Ky08 #LisaRinna10 @antigonerising 10 Leo ✔13 LBTrocks13 Kanenrá:ke19 austin21 bat199026 aerodynamite26 Az Paynter30 Zeebz30 Fat Ass Kelly Price31 Normi33 ry4n33 @walker9 34 Albie40 Sambalada41 .indulgecountry45 born48 Choco55 CF1557 jtd Thee Stallion YotamTS

So glad "Party" is gone it's awful.
"Pretty Hurts" is boring
"Green Light" is a jam and Bey's vocals slay on it.

ALBUMS - 4. B'Day [41 points]B'Day is the second studio album by American singer Beyoncé. It was released to coincide with her twenty-fifth birthday on September 4, 2006, by Columbia Records, Music World Entertainment, and Sony Urban Music. The record was originally planned as a 2004 follow-up to Beyoncé's debut studio album Dangerously in Love (2003), although it was delayed to accommodate the recording of Destiny's Child's final studio album Destiny Fulfilled (2004) and her starring role in the film Dreamgirls (2006). While on vacation after filming Dreamgirls, Beyoncé began contacting various producers; she rented Sony Music Studios, and completed B'Day in three weeks. Most of the lyrical content of the album was inspired by Beyoncé's role in the film. The album's musical style ranges from 1970s–80s funk influences and balladry to urban contemporary elements such as hip hop and R&B. Live instrumentation was employed in recording most of the tracks as part of Beyoncé's vision of creating a record using live instruments. - Wikipedia Average: 3.4166666667 St Dev: 1.3113721706 Chart Peaks: US - 1 (3x Platinum) / Canada - 1 (Platinum) / UK - 3 (Platinum) / Ireland - 3 / Japan - 4 / Germany - 5 / Australia - 8 (Platinum) / New Zealand - 8 / France - 12 / Sweden - 15 1 Ky 1 #LisaRinna 3 aerodynamite 3 Albie3 Fat Ass Kelly Price 4 @antigonerising 4 bat1990 4 Choco 4 ry4n 4 Zeebz 5 born 5 jtd Thee Stallion austin Az Paynter CF15 LBTrocks Sambalada .indulgecountry Leo ✔ Kanenrá:ke Normi @walker9 YotamTS

I never minded 'Check On It' that much lol, I always liked the Junior Vasquez remix because it was the only one to speed up the vocals (the other remixes drag SO HORRIBLY with the slowed-down vocals) - and when the chorus is already a motor-mouth moment in the original version when sped up it's just f**king ridiculous lmao. I know Bey herself hates it for whatever reason (I don't recall why though).
Boooooo '03 Bonnie & Clyde' being ejected so early. :'(

I love Runnin' and I'm shocked I ranked it pretty low I hate all of you for the dirt you did to Why don't you love me. This song is truly beautiful, amazing and totally different from everything she did thus far. The raw emotion and the music video. Seriously I love this song to death (and it's only my #5) how come I be the only person who had it that high :( Pretty Hurts is beautiful as well. What do you guys hate about it? There are so many shitty songs left that are above these two masterpieces :( Well, I still have hipe for some of my high songs and my #1 is still in so

33. Party (feat. Andre 3000) [677 points] 31. Green Light [630 points] What the hell's wrong with you people?? I swear to God if a Pop ballad wins this... ALBUMS - 4. B'Day [41 points] This rankdown is starting to smell like trash.

Oh, I missed a lot. Time to catch up, I guess. Yay at "Run the World", "Diva" and "Green Light" being out, but boo at them beating my #4. I can't believe "Party" got out. :( I love that album (with the exception of "Run the World", of course). I used to hate "Check On It", but now I don't mind it. It's kinda annoying but at least it's catchy unlike certain other songs on this list.

I ranked most of the Becky favorites in the bottom half.
It'd be nice to see one of the more urban songs win, but it'll be all pop songs at the top, just like in the Rihanna rankdown.

Damn, I forgot all about Irreplaceable. I don't even remember where I ranked it. I'm still thinking Crazy In Love is going to win this, though. I belive these are the songs still remaining: Crazy In Love Baby Boy Me, Myself, and I Naughty Girl Déjà Vu Ring the Alarm Irreplaceable Upgrade U Listen Beautiful Liar Get Me Bodied If I Were a Boy Single Ladies Halo Sweet Dreams Telephone Best Thing I Never Had Countdown Love On Top Dance For You End of Time Drunk In Love XO Flawless Partition Formation Sorry Hold Up Freedom All Night How in the world is Beautiful Liar still in this btw??? It is not bad but it should have been flushed out back in the 50s with all the other features no one was checking for. It is taking a top-half spot that belongs to way too many other worthy songs. For that matter, BTINH, too...only song on 4 that I don't really use. It committed the double crime of being Beckyonce and being a major flop on CHR (aka Becky central), so I wasn't expecting anyone to use it frankly. The only songs I feel super safe predicting to make the top 10 are CIL, Naughty Girl, Single Ladies, and Sweet Dreams...and possibly Telephone because Bey and Gaga share a lot of fans here. I feel like these are the uptempo songs that aren't too Becky for the urban fans and not too urban for the Beckyonce fans. Everything else is going to be a bit polarizing. Par for the course with Bey, when you think about it.

LMFAO, I think I only have 3-4 Beckyoncé songs in my Top 20.
I'd rather have Yoncé bangers and mid-tempos like Yoncé/Partition, Formation, Party, No Angel, Hold Up, etc.

Beautiful Liar was a big hit WW so I guess that's something.

Hasn't EVERY Beyonce single from her past 3 albums flopped on CHR? Probably not the best barometer. Her last top 10 there was f**king Telephone. Yeah, that's kind of my point though. BTINH isn't one of her better or more popular Becky songs, so pop fans have no reason to remember it or support it. Her self-titled and Lemonade singles, and most of her other 4 singles are at least strong urban fan favorites, but BTINH doesn't even have that going for it, or at least I didn't think it did. It certainly wouldn't be favored over Party...and yet here we are, with BTINH still in the top 30 and an early exit for Party. I don't even hate the song that much, its placement (wherever it eventually lands) is just confusing to me. I'll just say that it didn't rank this high with any thanks to me! lol 24 of my bottom 30 is already wiped out, that's actually a lot better than I expected because I tend to be so all over the place with rankdowns. But we need to hurry up and get my #60 and #52 out so I can officially be done with my bottom 10, the only songs on this rankdown that I seriously do not even find tolerable.
