74,456. I think it's the strongest #1 since Hello. But if you put a multiplier to adjust the points Closer still had some bigger week(s). Shape of You does feel like the weakest among these three Probably, yes. Closer had a 70,400 week (sales/7.5, airplay/9000, streaming/1200) when the average #1 had 53,000 points (June '16-January '17). Since the Pandora addition the average #1 has almost 60,000 points. If you don't count the album release week SOY's peak was 66,000. Closer had 3 stronger weeks than Shape's peak.

Is it possible to find numbers anywhere?

Great question! Based on my calculation #4-#6 this week are almost identical in points! But why the **** can't they just put Mask Off #4 for a change? I'd love Mask Off to go higher :( So unfair that future's biggest hit came at a time when the top10 was so stacked. if one were to add up all the points in the top five, it'd probably the highest in months if not over a year

How much streams does a pandora weekly chart #1 usually have? Is it possible to find numbers anywhere? It's impossible. But I estimate 8-9 million, because the week that ITO jumped to #3 it had 7 million spins. Like BB does, they only mentionate some numbers. Also, since SOY and TWIL are already recurrent and Despacito has 3 verions in the top 100 (the JB remix and 2 other versions that add 2.8m weekly spins), we don't even know if ITO, the current #1, is really the most popular song on Pandora.

Is there a place I can find an explanation on how the rolling chart of airplay works? It totally lost me. For example, I'm the One's first 8 days of AI: 20.1 27.7 32 36.7 42.2 48.5 55.6 34.6
If it's rolling, does it mean: a) 1st day it got 20.1m, 2nd day it got 7.6m since it's the combination of the past 7 days? or b) 1st it got 20.1m, 2nd day it got 35.3m since it's the average of the whatever applicable days of past 7 days? (I remember that's what someone explained how rolling chart works.
However: a) Real AI 20.1 7.6 4.3 4.7 5.5 6.3 7.1 -0.9 ???????! Chart AI 20.1 27.7 32 36.7 42.2 48.5 55.6 34.6 (34.6=7.6+4.3+4.7+5.5+6.3+7.1-0.9)
b) Real AI 20.1 35.3 40.6 50.8 64.2 80 98.2 -126.9 ??????! Chart AI 20.1 27.7 32 36.7 42.2 48.5 55.6 34.6 (34.6*7=35.3+40.6+50.8+64.2+80+98.2-126.9)
So it's neither, right? I dunno what else could it be. Why do they have to make airplay charts so complicated?

Great question! Based on my calculation #4-#6 this week are almost identical in points! But why the **** can't they just put Mask Off #4 for a change? cause that's not how the chart works lol #4-#6 is likely to be very close this week based on the Mask Off streaming data and other data in the article/estimation, and billboard really never does some minor adjustments on the formula by a weekly basis? They literally just use the same formula streaming/1200 for a whole year and then bam! streaming/1600 and whoever's reading's okay with it? Especially sometimes it's weird af how the **** do they obtain whatever numbers from youtube from so many videos (like I remember the Watch Me once returned to #4 because a video went viral even though it only used Watch Me as a background music and it sounded cheap. And that week Shake It Off's 4th week at no.1 they somehow mysteriously included the user-generated videos that are already removed and aerobic workout vids while the previous week didn't. I don't suppose Billboard or soundscan or whatever has an artificial intelligence machine that can scan a video to see how much audio is too much fun and fit to be included, right? Songs like Mask Off is gonna attract a lot of this kind of scenarios I bet. If one week a flute tutorial music with a cat humming the song goes viral and removed the second day, maybe that's the week Mask Off's finally reaching no.3.

Why are so many people being so savage to each other in this thread?
Super pumped that Redbone and Unforgettable made top 20 this week. I'd love to see them both in the top 10.

Humble top 10 on radio is truly impressive... its a hard rap song not carried by a pop hook like SYA. If i remember correctly B&B, which right now has the second most points this year, didn't even get close to top10 radio (though I'm not sure)

Counting pandora streams is very dumb. People don't even choose what they're listening to. This reminds me of before the digital era when the record labels determined the charts, except now algorithms are deciding (a portion of) the charts

B&B peaked at #13 on Radio Songs, but it peaked higher in pop airplay than HUMBLE.. HUMBLE. is only higher because it's peaking at massive highs on rhythmic and urban.

Counting pandora streams is very dumb. People don't even choose what they're listening to. This reminds me of before the digital era when the record labels determined the charts, except now algorithms are deciding (a portion of) the charts Except people actually do control Pandora streams quite a bit. You can skip songs you don't want to listen to, for example. You can select the radio station you like the most to listen to. Listeners have way more control on Pandora than they do in radio airplay. Not to mention Spotify also has a radio function like Pandora that is very popular. Should those streams also not count? Even if you don't think so, how do you remove those streams from the rest? You can't. So, basically, you can't give special treatment to Spotify numbers, but now with Pandora. Also, thousands of people consume music through Pandora and nothing else. Especially since it's usually pre-loaded into many streaming devices like Blu-Ray players or car radios. Honestly, it's a massive foresight that Pandora wasn't counted for the longest time. It's a vital player in the streaming world.

It's a vital player in the streaming world. I assume you mean oversight because foresight supports my point. I get what you're saying, but I just think it's unfair that a song can rise the charts due to an algorithm playing it for people. I think radio is extremely unfair too, by the way. People CHOOSE to buy songs. People CHOOSE to stream songs. People don't choose what they listen to on pandora or radio stations. Changing stations allows people to choose what they don't want to listen to, but not what they do want to listen to.

They also CHOOSE to skip songs they don't want to hear and CHOOSE to listen to the radio stations they want to listen to. Just because it's a random algorithm doesn't make it less valid. If I randomized a Spotify playlist, is it any less valid than me searching out a specific song to listen to?
